Great place to drop in with the family. We make the 5+ hour drive up to Caseville with our camper for the beautiful beach, and wonderful views. The place is decorated in tasteful ice cream…paraphernalia? Parking is adequate right outside, and there is more on the street and in a lot across from it. There are nice clean tables outside to eat your treats, and plenty inside as well.

This is a very popular ice cream parlor! Lines can be long, but don’t let that stop you, they move quickly thanks to their great staff.

Great ice cream and variety of flavors. Mostly loved the place. The lady getting my ice cream misunderstood me and gave me the wrong cone type. At the counter to the older gentleman cashing me out, I shyly mentioned how it was supposed to be in a different cone, and he just said “ah that’s too bad! I think this cone is even better!” I don’t expect someone to just throw an entire cone of ice cream away, but he could have rectified the situation by at least saying sorry, or offering to give me the cake cone on the side (I know I’m in the minority but I’m literally obsessed with them. My favorite part of the ice cream). Was disappointed by the lack of customer service, especially from the only actual adult working there.

Tonight I went to Shakers for the first time, and witnessed a situation between a customer and her child, and the owner, Alan. The woman’s child was experiencing sensory overload and had hidden himself behind a claw machine in the parlor. I understand that is not particularly safe, but the way Alan handled it was incredibly off base. Alan came up to the mother, immediately got in her face. At first I thought they knew each other but once I heard the way he was speaking to her I knew I was incorrect. Alan was aggressively telling her to get him out of there, and how it’s not safe. He was smacking his hands together and saying “that’s what this kid needs”. He was also just outright saying the kid needed beaten. I couldn’t hear everything else he was saying, but the mother was in tears telling him not to talk to her son like that. The mother had been trying to get him out of there, it’s not like she wasn’t doing anything. Alan then decided to aggressively pull the booth table blocking the boy in, which of course didn’t change anything, the boy still did not want to leave. The mother and some people with her had to carry the boy out together against his will because the owner was being incredibly insistent they get out right away. Overall, I would not suggest supporting a business that treats his customers like this. It was disgusting behavior to witness.

Absolutely delightful! The Lemon Cheesecake is an absolute must-try, and their non-dairy options are equally fantastic! The staff is incredibly helpful and adds to the overall amazing experience. Love it every single time!

Stopped for ice cream, I wanted a sample of a flavor I have never had before : Nana’s banana. “No Samples” said the young lady working…signs all over in BOLD PRINT. (Scratching my head) I never heard of such a thing. Soooo I got my old flavor, played it safe. I won’t be back. I will go someplace else like Grindstone where the customer comes first!! If I liked the new flavor, I would have come back. You are losing sales. Disappointing. Due to rising costs…?? we are all dealing with yet I spend money coming into your shop to SUPPORT YOU!!! set a limit instead: Max one taste test per paying customer.

Clean relaxed and quick. They got 10 of us all our icecreams in great time. There were no issues in commu icatikn and the icecreame was good. Just fyi though, no home made waffle cones… im used to seeing waffle cones where i come from so that was somewhat dissapointing. Otherwise no complaints, nice small seating area for you to eat at, and fair pricing.

Caseville landmark. First children and now grandchildren demand visit when we are in the area. Can get busy because the ice cream is really good. Generous scoops of ice cream.

It was my first time in here and also my last. I will not be supporting this business. The owner of the parlor intervened when unnecessary, while a mother was trying to calm down her son who was autistic. He was experiencing sensory overload and hid behind the arcade machine located in the corner. The mother had been trying to calm him down long before the owner came out saying how that was a safety hazard and he needs to get out. He began angrily shoving the booths around to make way for her son to be physically removed against his will, while making remarks about how all he needs is to be beat. Slapping his hands together saying “that’s what the kid needs”. The mother on numerous accounts asked him not to speak to her son the way he did. It was clear this man, the owner, who runs a business geared towards families, has no right to be in that position whatsoever.
