I recently ordered chicken momo from the Himalayan restaurant for takeout. The flavors were delightful and the taste was quite good. However, there were a few letdowns in the experience. Unfortunately, some of the momo pieces were not steamed properly. I noticed flour residue on a few of them, and to make matters worse, some pieces had a rather hard texture. This oversight had a negative impact on my overall meal, as it disrupted the enjoyment of the dish and left my bowl in a bit of a mess. While the taste was promising, the inconsistency in the steaming process was a downside. I hope the restaurant takes note of these concerns and works to ensure a more consistent and satisfying dining experience for its patrons.

It’s on a weird location but wasn’t hard to find parking. Other than Indian food, I’m not used to other food they offer and my opinion can only be compared to other Indian restaurants in town. Greeted as soon as we arrived, there wasn’t anyone else but a few orders were picked up while we dine. It’s clean and prices are fair, ordered chicken korma and chicken Tikka, one spicy and one not spicy at all. Both ended up being spicy, not unbearable to us but not edible to our toddler. Rice came with order and ordered a Naan as an extra. Only thing I complain about is both curries we’re slightly soupier than most places, but taste was still there.

Went inside on a very slow afternoon where almost all the tables were empty. Firstly they never gave us water and we didn’t even bother to ask as it was first thing they would serve by themselves. This place is overpriced and the food were nothing compared to those pennies we paid. Though chicken momos were decent but that thali had very bland taste with no flavor on goat meat. It was just creamy daal makhani. All I could taste was those bamboo shoot (Tama) taste on those beans. Naan had strong smell of baking soda couldn’t even finish one.

Felt like they were serving food for free. The attitude of the owner/server was more worth than a customer service. I couldn’t believe I have come to such a sub standard restaurant.

Got the chicken tikki masala and lamb thali plate and a side keema naan. We came in and sat down right. We had fast and friendly service. Though no one was in there but us, we noticed there were several pickup orders. Extremely satisfied and will definitely be coming back.

When you are hungry everything taste’s good but the food here was an exception . There was nothing about this place that was even worth a compliment. Went in hungry and left out angry . Compared to Nepali restaurants in New York , I found them way overpriced . The ambience needs improvement as it just looks like ordinary Nepali “Khaja Ghar” . Even the Himalyan Yak at NYC which has live music and good ambience is priced cheaper than this one. One plate momo has 6 piece thats nearly half plate in Nepal . However more than the price the food was a disappointment . The chicken momo had a slight pungent smell indicating its not fresh and the mutton thali had no salad, papad or spinach . It was too hot even though I asked for not spicy. The vegetable was a shame , I could smell the burnt aromas that provided the curry bitter taste. And lastly the kheer was just rice with milk and sugar with tint of condensed milk not traditionally cooked kheer. This is not how a Nepali food should taste like. If you had ever had a proper thali you would be surprised as how this is compared to authentic one. It had plain naan just so that the plate wouldn’t look empty . Who keeps naan in thali ? Except for the samosa which was ok, rest of the food was UNAPPETIZING and it is in fact even lower grade then how a regular house cooked food would taste in Nepal. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED wont be back and would not recommend it to any authentic Nepali food seekers .

The attitude of server was disguisting. Went there for lunch with family. It feels like they are irretated to see customer. For water you have to ask, they do not count how many people are sitting there.

I just love the lemonade. It is pretty different and contains lemon ginger cardamom.. definitely recommended. We ordered pokhrali chicken and chilli chicken. Both were very good. Chili chicken was crispy and pokhrali chicken was very nice and juicy. Please try to order the nepalese dishes. They are really good at those.
