This restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The decor makes quite an impression. I ordered Pad Thai with tofu for take out and was sorely disappointed. The spring roll was really good, but the Pad Thai was just a block of congealed noodles with sugary orange sauce all over. No vegetables (aside from two long green onions), just stuck together noodles in sugar sauce. It was pretty flavorless, so obviously no seasoning of any kind was used. It was quite possibly the worst Pad Thai I’ve ever had. It wouldn’t take a whole lot of effort to stir the noodles while they were cooking so they didn’t stick together, and maybe add a few vegetables and some seasoning.

My best friend, a.k.a. the love of my life, and I had the pleasure of dining at 98 Asian Bistro. A cultural culinary gem in High Point NC. The moment we stepped in, we saw that great care and attention to detail went into the design of the establishment. We attended a City of High Point function a few weeks back and met Tu, the owner. After talking with her, we knew right away that we wanted to visit this unique place. The decor brings beautiful Asian zen to the heart of our town. We had Soft Spring Rolls with Thai iced tea for starters. Gorgeously wrapped rice paper fresh veggie rolls with peanut sauce. The tea was expertly prepared with a perfect amount of cream. Next, we shared the White Pepper and Garlic with chicken. A mildly spicy dish that invigorated my taste buds with flavors of the east. We also shared my new favorite. Duck Basil, crispy duck legs and sliced breast. Every savory bite was taken with patience and care to allow my senses to take in the flavor of this amazing dish. Each morsel taken in was like the chef was telling me a story through his craft while never speaking a word. It was so nice to see such culture in our immediate area. I may not have had such an experience in Asian dining since my last visit to San Francisco. I can’t wait for our return to try the pho.

Friday night was our first time here and we had an AMAZING experience!! First I have to say, our sever Tiffany was phenomenal! She understood my request and made sure my meal was prepared Gluten Free. She asked questions and double checked with the kitchen before we confirmed my meal and I really appreciate that. She def went above and beyond for us. We were celebrating my birthday that evening and I am soooo happy we did it here! We will def be back again soon!! Thank you !!

Second time visiting this place. We’d come down for the Rolex and this is one of our go to for dinner. We visited twice this year and as always, the food was good. Service was good and the staff was very friendly. Food always came out quick!

Limited menu compared to other similar restaurants, but every option is a solid choice with well developed flavors and excellent technique. I had the Laos vermicelli soup with mixed seafood, and calamari for an appetizer. It was all excellent. Previously, we have tried almost every noodle and curry dish, and all are excellent. If you order Thai hot, you will get Thai hot, so order accordingly.

What an amazing experience. 98 Asian Bistro blew us away with their menu and hospitality. The interior is so cool and comfortable. The food was incredible. See the pics. My daughter’s kids meal with noodles and chicken was an absolute hit with all of us. We also had dessert, coconut ice cream, homemade, creamy and unbelievably delicious. We will make the 20 minute drive again and again for this experience. The food, the presentation, and the staff were amazing. 10 STARS!

This restaurant was suggested by a friend who lives locally- great food, nice atmosphere…horrible service. The person who waited on us was more worried about clearing off the table, including plates with food that we were still eating than offering drink refills. When I asked for more tea I was told it had been dumped out of the evening. We felt rushed and like an inconvenience to the server.

I could not wait to get home to leave this review! My fiancé and I visited 98 Asian Bistro this evening, and the service and food was AMAZING! We had the best server, and it was such a pleasure to meet the their owners and staff, Tu, Todd, and Khan! The hospitality was top tier! We will be visiting regularly! Cannot wait to go back! Went here for the first time to treat myself to a night out. Tucked away off main street the environment is friendly and soothing from the moment you walk in. I had a seat at the bar and the bartender was polite and made the best Lychee Martini I’ve ever had. I ordered chicken pad Thai (Thai hot) and enjoyed every bit of it. I will be returning to try more food and more cocktails. 10/10
