Terrible food. Shrimp was not only dry and old but over cooked. Chicken fingers over cooked. Fries were old. Had to beg for napkins. I’m pretty sure we were bothering the waitress asking for refills. She sure did bring the bill and clean up fast. I wouldn’t come back here for much certainly not at beach prices.

One of the best views on the island. Service is horrible. Bartenders put their hands all over the straw. The young man was licking his fingers, then serving without washing. Music was hard rock and obnoxious. It’s worth a try for the view, but a one and done.

We went to have drinks and enjoy the sun in the afternoon, total disappointment. I was accompanied by my mother-in-law and my husband, so 3 of us total. We went to the outdoor bar and sat down, there were 7 separate patrons besides us… most of the bar was empty. There was a ton of dirty glasses, empty bottles, and trash where people had left and the bar wasn’t bussed off… we struggled to find a clean place to sit (there was none) and settled for 3 chairs with garbage on the bar in front of us hoping we would get helped. There were two bartenders, maybe 3 a young man helped a lady who came up to the bar 5 minutes after we got there. We sat for 10 minutes and got no service while one bartender was talking to a man the whole time and the other one was breaking down boxes right in front of us. No eye contact, no hello we will be right there… nothing. We were completely ignored. I would have been more understanding if they were busy, but they were not. So we left and brought our business elsewhere. We were really excited to enjoy an afternoon cocktail and enjoy the view, complete disappointment.

Our group enjoyed late afternoon beach side cocktails. They close at 5:30, so we ordered dinner to go. The shrimp basket, sandwiches, and burgers were all very good. We look forward to our next visit.

Our family has been coming here since this place was built. You will not find a better bar service than Tina and the rest of her group. The reason they close at 5:30 is because they open at 11am and they cannot do a double shift. Their drinks are above what is asked, we have even asked for an alcohol they didn’t have and the next day someone from the staff ordered it so we could have our drink. The food, drinks, and staff are the best. If you come to Ocean Isle Beach we highly recommend the Tipsy Turtle.

Online menu is inaccurate. There is no fish available which is what why we came. Not many people here….food and drinks ok but took forever. Waited over an hour after order for chicken strips and two shrimp baskets. Don’t waste your prescious beach time!
