We were fortunate to find a table inside The Fisherman’s Daughter to enjoy a late weekday lunch. The fish & chips (with white fish) were tasty. My husband had the white fish but substituted the cheese curds for $4 more and really enjoyed them. My chicken fingers & chips were okay, the chicken being a little over-cooked to my liking. A friend enjoyed her white fish tacos. The restaurant was quaint and clean, with gifts available for purchase. Would eat here again the next time I’m in the area.

Got a quick order of fish and chips for take out a few days ago. I chose the whitefish fresh from Lake Superior. The flavor and texture of the fried fish was very good! It was perfectly moist in the center, crispy on the outside and well seasoned! The coleslaw was pretty bland but not what I bought it for anyway so I didn’t mind. The fries were great as well! Service was friendly and prompt. Looking forward to coming back again sometime!

This place was outstanding! The fried walleye, maple bacon cheese curds, and loaded fries with crab were all delicious, and you can’t beat the views from the outdoor deck. They also have some grab and go options and local products for sale. I would recommend The Fisherman’s Daughter to anyone visiting Grand Marais!

The perfect spot for fish n chips if you’re in Grand Marais. It’s a market/walk-up to order restaurant. Plenty of smoked salmon & steelhead by the lbs, fresh lake Superior fish, chowder, and to-go salads with smoked fish.

Great service! Be sure to go inside because there are so many more options for food than what is on the menu. The fish is very lightly breaded, which is perfect. Great location. Got outside options of seating, you either can eati in there front facing the road or the back overlooking all the fishing nets, which I actually really enjoyed. Dog friendly patio!

Great place for some fried fish! My family especially liked it because they have a fried fish gluten free option. We will definitely be back!

This is my kind of restaurant! No frills, just awesome, fresh fish. Order at the counter, pick out a beer or beverage of choice, and then wait for your food. It won’t take long. Our fish was crispy and delicious.

They make nice fish & chips in a location with a nice view of the harbor. We tried and enjoyed both the herring and the whitefish. They as well as the chips and cheese curds were quick, hot, and tasty.

Extremely speedy service and well worth the price. 16$ was the median price and I felt it was great. The service was very fast though we were there at 2pm. The fries were very crispy and amazing. Friendly atmosphere and a view of the lake if you eat out in the back.

We were hungry so we stopped in. We pleasantly surprised at the excellent service. The staff was so friendly and engaged compared to almost everywhere else we went too along the north shore. The food was great too. A great view of the Lighthouse on the deck too.
