Taste if seafood used to be one of my go to spots growing up in Harlem. I haven’t been here in yrs…so when I was craving fried fish and shrimps and so happen to be in Harlem I instantly thought of this place. They have definitely fell off. The shrimp tasted like the frozen ones from the bag…definitely wasn’t fresh! The shrimp tasted weird!! However, the fish and Mac and cheese was decent and the customer service; hence why I gave them 3 stars. But I can tell the food quality has changed and I was not happy with my purchase. I most definitely do not plan or going back. Which sucked because I now live in the Bronx and I have yet to come across a good seafood spot.

While the store was very accommodating with a last minute large catering order for 75 wings, it was obviously fried in old oil. In sum, order early in the day- they don’t change the oil. My whiting order was also negatively impacted by hard frying in old oil. Very disappointed as food was good in the past.

I was cravinnng some fried fish baddd I came here because it was after 8PM and they were open My whiting fish was decent, fried & seasoned light. The fries were burnt and gave old, reheated. I mean for the 20 mins wait time you would think everything would be FRESH! Nice try but I will stick with my usual spots.

I can always depend on my staples fish, Mac n cheese, and greens. Everybody loves it here. They have banana pudding, too! Shrimp, chicken wangs, waffles , etc. Surprisingly, the potatoe salad was really good ( Ion eat erybodyz potatoe salad, iykyk) Black food.

This is a very popular place. WHY??? Because the food is delicious generous portions and the vegetables are fresh NOT CANNED! The fish is impeccably prepared crispy but not hard — moist and succulent. I always get my favorite Whiting with 2 sides Collard greens and fried Okra … I’m telling you the greens are to live for … the okra is divine.

So disappointed in my order. I ordered a whiting sandwich and lobster and grits all for myself because I’m so hungry and want to support a new small business. My food comes looking sloppily packaged with the American cheese thrown on top of the grits and before I take a bite of anything I see HAIR wrapped in one of the lobster tails! C’mon! Y’all have to do better than this AND it’s Covid?! That’s disgusting. I don’t trust anything happening in that kitchen.
