I moved away from MS in the 80s. One of the first things I wanted to do when I moved back last year was get some real home-cooked catfish. This is the first and only restaurant I went to for catfish. They are amazing, and I go at least once or twice a month. I do not like coleslaw (sorry), HOWEVER, theirs is amazing. The prices are great. I always have extra to take home, and it’s not soggy when you reheat it. The ladies and guys that work there remind me of what manners should be and treat everyone who walks in the door like family. I don’t think I can give enough stars to truly describe how amazing the food and atmosphere truly are. You have a customer in me for as long as I’m back living here.

I gave a low rating because I drove 25 minutes to get catfish, and the were closed. That was at 8:01PM. “We closed early because we were slow. The kitchen is closed.” Perhaps consider that your business is slow because your hours of operation are inconsistent. It’s 8:13 now, and 4 people have driven up since I’ve been sitting here. The fish is good, but I can get the same thing to my north, south, east, or west. It just so happened that I was 6 mins closer to them tonight. I waited a long time to get my food last time, and I remember thinking, “Dang, I need to order in advance next time!” This time I should have called! There want me a next time, unfortunately.

Well the catfish taste muddy, no coleslaw in either of the 2 orders to go and they were not busy at 1:30 pm. Not worth $34. Will spend my hard earned money somewhere else!

My family and I have eaten at this restaurant for years but after the attitude I got from the manager tonight I’m not sure they’ll get our business again . We ordered a large order of shrimp and 11 of the 20 were literally about the size of a dime . I called to speak to the manager in expectation of at least an apology and maybe some type of offer to make it right but instead I got attitude and rudeness. This is NOT how you treat customers . #VeryDisappointed

Nice environment and neat little restaurant BUT we placed our orders and; waited 10 minutes on drinks, 30 minutes on one appetizer and over an hour on entree’s. There were just 4 of us and no complex orders. There were three other tables in the restaurant before us, that also were either waiting on food still after we had left or got half of their food as we got ours.

The service was great and the food was even better. Very clean restaurant. The people are kind and if an item that was ordered was forgotten all you have to do is tell them and it’s no problem for them to go get it. As it is a very popular place for that area you may have to wait to be seated but they have a great amount of seating for people to sit at to wait to be seated at their table. The prices of the food are well within means. It was my first time going to this restaurant Saturday September 12,2020, and I will most definitely be going back when I’m in the area for a weekend again.
