Matt and I eat at the Bistro all the time! It is fantastic! The atmosphere, the servers, the cooks and of course the food, are all wonderful! I have lived in Mentone my entire life, and I used to come here when it was The Log Cabin Deli, and I must say, what these guys have done to this place is amazing! The food is delicious! I give the Moonlight Bistro 5 stars and if if I had five thumbs, I would give them 5 thumbs up too! If you find yourself in Mentone, the Bistro is a must!

I have visited this place about five times and enjoyed the experience in all but the last one, which was today. My wife and I enjoy dining in good restaurants and sometimes drive two hours just to visit one. Today we ordered shrimp Alfredo and a rib-eye steak. I had ordered the Alfredo about nine months earlier and liked it. Today we both asked for salad with our meals. When the salad came we both where shocked at the tiny number of small leaves in the bottom of the bowl. we could both count the number of leaves on two hands without moving any of the contents. The bowls were small in the first place, but the contents didn’t even fill a third of the bowl. I wish I had taken a picture to show you. We complained to the waitress and she just said that was what they serve now and would relate our concerns to the kitchen. We received no feedback from the kitchen. When the Alfredo came, the shrimp tasted good, but the dish was smaller than I remembered it before. about the size of a medium size soup bowl. I left knowing I would need to prepare something when I got home. The Alfredo had a different flavor also. It tasted like the cook poured a cream on it, but had practically no cheese in it. You might as well pour a glass of warm milk on some noodles and call it Alfredo. My wife’s stake was over cooked. She specifically said she wanted the inside pink, there was no pink and it and it lacked flavor. I would expect a little better when we pay twenty dollars for a small steak I tend to be liberal when I rate places and I rarely give a dislike. We eat out often, but this will be the last time we go here. By the way, the waitress was courteous and timely with delivery.

It is a rustic cabin that oversees the historic shops of downtown Mentone. We had the Crab Dip, Chicken Hot Brown and the Philly. They were all very tasty and came with delicious sweet tea. The service was first-rate.

Best restaurant in the area. We live in a neighboring town about an hour away. We make this drive several times a year just to eat at this restaurant. Fried green tomatoes are amazing and the whole family loves the fried Oreo dessert!

The Moonlight Bistro is an amazing place to visit if you’re in Mentone. The food was fresh and cooked to perfection. And I definitely recommend the Fried Oreos (comes with ice cream) for dessert.

My wife and I enjoyed good service and the unique rustic cabin atmosphere. My cajun shrimp and grilled cabbage were excellent, and the fried Oreos were delicious and surprisingly classy.

Very rustic and cozy dining area inside. There are even tables available to dine on the front porch. Try the Hawg Burger and the Chicken Hot Brown, both are delicious.
