Juniper’s Back Door at 131 Main Street in the Historic Business District of Calico Rock, Arkansas is a Restaurant/Private Club. Membership is free to all new visitors requiring only your name and address. We feature a family friendly atmosphere steeped in the rich history of The Ozarks, Izard County, and Calico Rock.
Our decor is reminiscent of a 1920s Speakeasy highlighted by antique furniture with sitting areas in our downstairs space. Enter through the side wooden walkway, as befits a speakeasy door hiding in plain sight, behind our other featured space, Fricki’s Attic.
Fricki’s Attic is a boutique showcasing Blended Teas, Unique Coffees, Finely Crafted Soaps and Scrubs, Arkansas Made Jewelry, Sculpture, Knives, and Woodwork.
Cheers!

Really cool place. Great food, super friendly people, and lots of fun! They have karaoke, foosball, checkers, chess, Jenga – so many fun things to do while you are there, and great for keeping kids entertained. I especially like their pork nachos – surprisingly sweet and very delicious. My husband is a huge fan of their artichoke jalapeno dip. We will definitely be coming back!

My wife and I found this place today, we didn’t know what to expect. However as we entered we were greeted with a smile and a menu and found the speakeasy. Very cool place and the beef and cheddar will have me back for sure. My wife had the sliders and they had a smoky flavor that also was very good. We will be back.

Great vibes and super friendly. The food is about what you’d expect at a bar/pub, so not a whole bunch of options, but it’s really good food. The bartender is awesome too!

This is a breath of fresh air for this area. Finally found a place that is comfortable, friendly, and with the best good feelings and vibe. I love live music and enjoy the personal feel of the performances here. I highly recommended and will be my spot to go. I can’t comment on the great smelling food as I have not eaten there yet.

Food was good. Drinks are somewhat pricey but as to be expected considering the county it’s in. Live music in the basement with the feel of being at home.

A small hole-in-the-wall joint with friendly folks and good live music. Definitely a good spot to hang out for a while if you’re visiting the small town.

Camped at the marina in June and came here twice for food and drinks. Really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, beer selection and custom cocktails as it is the only establishment to serve liquor/beer by the drink. We had the Ozark Charcuterie and the Calico BBQ Pork Nachos, both were delicious.
