ABOUT ROSIE’S
Owner Operator Lynn Lowder is a Vietnam Marine who has been a Naperville resident for the past 40 years. His dream was to someday be in business for himself, and age 76 has demonstrated it’s never too late. As a Veteran owned and operated restaurant, Rosie’s is committed to supporting Veterans and First Responders.
So why are we named Rosie’s? As one of our nation’s icons known for her depiction of grit and brawny strength during WWll, Norman Rockwell’s image of Rosie the Riveter received mass distribution on the cover of the Saturday Evening Post on Memorial Day, May 29, 1943. Our restaurant celebrates and holds a space for all veterans who proudly and bravely protected our country.
Based on 161 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.7 stars. Price $

First time here, and I really enjoyed everything about the place. Rosie’s has only been open for about a year and they have shorter hours due to it being a diner from a “throw back era” motif.

Absolutely spectacular food and service. I’m a veteran and I appreciate all of the attention to detail and respect given to those that served here. While that may not resonate with everyone, the food and service will. Generous portions, delicious food and on the ball service made this my new favorite restaurant in Naperville!

Came here by chance and so glad to have found it! Cool diner with a casual Americana vibe, friendly staff, tasty food, and GREAT coffee. We sat at the counter and really enjoyed it; met both the owners who were very amicable and enjoyed chatting with all the clientele. Veteran-owned, as noted, and you can immediately tell how much they care about their restaurant.

Went for breakfast based on excellent reviews. Those reviews didn’t lie. Food was amazing…. hard to find a perfect poached egg BUT I did here, owner was inviting, personable& genuine in his concern for veterans & their needs! Try the coffee… over the top, both regular & Tibetan which was smooth as buyer for a reason! Wish we’d have taken photos but we did not. Worth going for the food alone. Personal service & atmosphere are icing on that cake.

Wonderful classic dinner spotlessly clean and delicious breakfast. Service was fast staff so nice and attentive. Had eggs and potatoes… something yummy in those potatoes?? Onion and garlic maybe. Coffee really better than most. Place honors veterans and has interesting and inspirational Rockwell paintings on the walls . Talking to owner Lynn was a treat in itself. If you go there seek him out to say hi. We will remember the experience for a long time. Thanks Lynn for the inspiration!!!

Amazing staff especially Sue. The owner he is so humble and nice you get that family vibe and they want your experience to be great. The owner is a Purple Heart Vet. The food is fresh and the ingredients are organic and are supplied by locally owned Vet suppliers. They have my business and will be back again. Corn beef hash amazing, the apple pancake was delicious my omelette was like a soufflé omelette delicious.

We were disappointed, Sue was a great server and she took the skillet of our bill. My sister had ordered Swiss cheese on her skillet and the kitchen did cheddar, Mainly just had lukewarm potatoes and very little veggies. They pre make make the skillets in the morning then must microwave it once ordered. No substitutions and some of the ingredients were cold. Not able to switch the English muffin for a biscuit with the Eggs Rosie. Kinda strange since you can get one instead of toast with other breakfast choices. I went with the biscuits and gravy with eggs and the biscuits were hard. Couldn’t cut through them with a fork. Sue brought another order and it was a little better but not great. They seem to microwave them too, as they were warm but no color from the grill. They bring a decanter of coffee to your table, which is always a bonus. We wanted to support the 76 year old marine that followed his dream and opened this first restaurant, but likely won’t return. My sister gives them a 1 star, which is rare. I’m being generous with my 3 star.

Greeted by Lynn, a Marine and the owner. All the staff were extremely nice and very attentive. The DINER looked “old style” with comfort seating and plenty of room, and VERY clean. They certainly do honor the military, but it is a wonderful place for everyone!
