We ordered tacos. They were all slightly warm, carne Asada, adobada carnitas, one fish taco. Very bad so bad it was terrible. All three meats were dry overcooked, but they weren’t even browned. It’s like they boil the stuff. No flavor on none of it. The fish taco was OK but not real warm. They should fire that cook today . Everything was way too expensive for how terrible it was. What’s the guys name again? Hector the cashier wasn’t very friendly. they need to clean house and get all new staff. That’s one place I will not be going back to a good waste of money.

Food is good, don’t get me wrong, but don’t bother asking for ‘extra’ anything….California Burrito, extra sour cream, means you pay $1.50 to not get sour cream on burrito at all…happened twice in a row…hence the review.

Been going here for the last two months. I love their Menudo. It’s my favorite compared to others I have tried in the area! When we first ordered their menudo, it fed both my husband and I and we still had leftovers! I ordered one for myself today and the meat just isn’t there. Don’t get me wrong, I love the soup. But I also buy it for the meat. For the amount I paid for, I felt cheated for how much I got. Also, the lid was broken. Just glad the plastic didn’t have hole or it would’ve ruined my car seat.

I ordered ceviche tostadas and there was barely any lime juice the shrimp was not cooked because it wasn’t in the lime juice long enough it was horrible no flavor I ended up just cooking the shrimp on the skillet and added my own seasonings so it would be edible. The other reviews are right they need a new cook

Horrible place, “parking lot” confuses as heck. Went through the drive-thru, it was confusing but okay, didnt take too long, reasonable wait time. Las salsas were good, food was okay. Got carnitas tacos-decent, 2 burritos-good, birria we did not like, no seasoning, tastes like just chile rojo alone, beef rolled tacos-good. A bit overpriced for me, not sure we’ll be coming back

The food here is good but you are going to wait for it. I became a senior citizen by the time they took my order (no cars ahead of me.) You will get nothing extra without paying for it. Heaven forbid you ask for more than 2 salsa per person. You will get one napkin per person as well. The machaca burrito on the screen says it comes with beans, but my burrito was missing them. Birria quesadilla is so dry you will feel like you are eating at the Sahara desert. It appears this is the only Mexican restaurant I have ever gone to that doesn’t give you any consomme with the Birria…um that is kind of the point. This meal is the equivalent of going on a date with someone who is hot, but they just can’t hold a conversation – total letdown.

Move-in day, living off of 2.5 hours sleep and we had not eaten anything much for 20+ hours. What shall we order? We are in So Cal so lets get Mexican food. Check out DoorDash and see Cotijas Taco Shop. Yum! We order for delivery on the app: Carne Asada Burrito, 5 Rolled Tacos with everything and a bag of chips. Order is to the new house in 25 minutes (score one for DoorDash). As we unpack we notice the burrito is pretty big as is the rolled tacos and even the bag of chips is large. Score one for Cotijas for quantity. I ordered the burrito and it is old school good. I missed the flavor of good Carne Asada (hard to find good carne asada in the Bay Area) and this burrito was all that and a bag of chips. Speaking of CHIPS! The chips were very good. We enjoyed them with some of the wonderful salsa. My wifes rolled tacos were also fantastic. This is something else impossible to find in the Bay Area. Cotijas delivered on flavor – so yes, quantity and quality. All in all Cotijas earned a 5 star review. Happy to be back in Southern California and happy to get old school mexican food.
