I think this is a great place the food was awesome. My beef taco salad was fresh and the taco bowl had been made to order. El Paso suffers from startup woes, however. The waitress was the only person on duty to service tables. She spent more time on her phone than she did taking care of us and the one other patron in the store. I think the food is good enough that once people start learning about this place that it will become popular.

This place is DELICIOUS! Don’t let the small, homey looking establishment throw you off. Fast and friendly service, laid back atmosphere, and some of the tastiest food you could ask for at excellent prices! I still definitely be going here anytime we’re headed to Peoria for a comedy show at the Jukebox.

For 3 years I searched for an authentic Mexican restaurant that really is authentic but found not a single one this far from Mexico… Well, just up the road from home, El Paso came to Peoria & the place couldn’t be more authentic. From the blue paint on the walls to the tomatillo sauce, this place gets our vote for best in town authentic Mexican food.

These guys are good. If you like mexican food – this is the place. Nothing fancy, food (we have tried it 3 times) is delicious. Prices are low. I especially recommend the breakfast.

I was excited when I found this place and the food was okay. I ate my leftovers only a few days later and got horribly sick. I later found out that this restaurant was previously closed down for health code violations.

Jose’ is the man that opened El Mexicano on Jefferson and Mary street. Good food. Worth driving to. I had a breakfast burrito today and it was very good.
