1st time hearing of Firebox grill and eating here. We do not have this chain in my state. I must say the food is delicious! I had the chicken Philly and my daughter got the chicken teriyaki bowl. We would definitely eat here more if we had one at home!

I gave Firebox Grill a try and I was pleasantly impressed with the freshness and flavor. I ordered the Rodeo Burger with Cajun Fries and also the Solo BBQ Wings. Super delicious food and fresh. I’ll definitely come back.

This super cool place use to be a Glen Gene Deli. Now it is Glen Gene Deli 2.0 Aka Firebox Grill. I love the new decor, hang lights, new colors and train logo on the napkin holders. Though I had some what of a limited menu if you are into lettuce burgers etc. I went with the chicken Nachos which were good but they ran out of cheese sauce that completes this meal. No worries the black beans and there ingredients made up for it.

The food was good. The sandwich and fries were fresh. I ordered the phillysteak sandwich with fries. The portion size was pretty good with the sandwich and fries. The kid taking my order did not look too happy working there. They did not say too much until I placed my order. Other than that, I will come back when I’m in town in the future.

Just have to say I’m disappointed. I’ve regularly eaten here and never had any complaints before, but tonight was different. I ordered a lamb gyro, and I love the Mediterranean flavors in the quick dish, but the flavor was totally ruined because someone thought pickles would make a good substitute for cucumbers. It may sound trivial, but it completely changes the flavor of the dish, with the tart pickles overwhelming the light flavor of the other ingredients. Please for the love of God and good food, don’t ever do that again!

I would have loved to have eaten here. I approached the drive thru and was asked to wait a min. The restaurant was steady but not busy. Having worked in food service I understand the kitchen can get backed up. Cars stacked up behind me for the next 8+ min ( it was long enough that my ankle got tired of holding the brake pedal) a sarcastic female voice came a cross asking if” i had any questions.” I informed her I was still waiting like she asked. “I NEVER TOLD YOU TO WAIT!” DID YOU WANT TO ORDER?” I kindly declined because I will not eat food that has been spit in. I am always overly kind and polite to all service workers. Because I was raised right. I miss when this restaurant was called Glen Gene. Hope they get their public facing employees sorted out. Maybe I can go back someday.

Affordable, Delicious, & good ol greasy food. You really can’t go wrong with this. Everything we tried was yummy and those fries were thick & crispy. Definitely recommend this gem if you’re visiting Chattanooga!
