If you are looking for a restaurant that has it all…. this one’s it!! Not only is the service and ambiance terrific the food is phenomenal! I tend to switch it up every time I eat here (which is very often). You are also able to rent different areas of the restaurant for any celebration you may have. I had my bridal shower here and everything was so beautiful. My guests enjoyed the food, beautiful decor, and so much more. Made my bridal shower truly special! Highly recommend this place!

Had a very yummy dinner at Elephant and the Dove. We started with the dip trio of queso, guacamole and salsa with chips. All three were great and the chips are served warm. Hubby ordered beef rojo enchiladas which were excellent, daughter had the california burrito with queso on top (crazy delish)and I had a burrito bowl with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were so tasty. The bowl was only OK. I would have preferred the ingredients stacked, rather then separated. But the real star on the table was the side of mexican corn. Wow, it was unbelievably good. Delicious fresh take on Mexican cuisine. Tons of gluten free options. A few items are marked as vegetarian and/or vegan, but apparently since the owners are vegan, anything can be made vegan at your request. This was fantastic news for me! The food, service and atmosphere were all stupendous! If you’re in the area, I highly recommend it.

Skaneateles is a great little town filled with shops and restaurants. It’s perfect for a day trip or weekend getaway. Well if you’re there, you need to go to Elephant and The Dove. Absolutely gorgeous decor, fun vibe, great music, great staff and the food is unbelievable. You have to try the Chili Relleno for an appetizer. It’s like one giant jalapeño popper and it’s definitely a trip to flavor town. We also had the triple dipper chips, the guacamole is awesome. And we had two types of tacos that were equally delicious. All in all, if you’re in town and you like Mexican food, you NEED to come here.

For dinner, I had the California Burrito, and I had it with the impossible meat, and it was really good. The pickles on top were a nice touch! It is basically a big Mac burrito! The fries inside were also an added bonus. I also had a margarita, and it was good. My family enjoyed their meals too. The biggest issue was the slowness of the food and drinks. It took forever to get our food. The couple next to us had their four course meal before we got our entre, and then a bigger group behind us got their food much faster than we did. It took a while to get the drinks too, even when the second round was just beer. Also unlike other Mexican restaurants, there was no chip refill. The kids chicken tenders did not come with French fries, and the burritos did not come with rice. It’s the little things that count! I would go back though, I really want to try the bang bang shrimp tacos.

We held our daughter in law’s bridal shower at Elephant and The Dove and it was truly remarkable. The service was outstanding and guests were attended too. The food was delicious and the specialty drinks were a nice touch. I had the bang bang shrimp and it was awesome. The atmosphere at this restaurant is truly unique and I highly recommend it.

The very best restaurant I’ve been to in a long time. Food was absolutely delicious. This restaurant is located in the quaint town of Skaneateles, NY and located on the lake (worth a visit on it’s own). Food portions were abundant. I had the shrimp tacos (pictured). Unbelievebly delicious. The sauce was out of this world. Just enough sweet to tang. As an appetizer we ordered guacamole, queso and salsa trio. Words cannot describe how utterly delicious they were. Ordered the house drink called the “dove”. You can’t pass on this drink when you go. Then came desert (also pictured). We ordered the Churro Sundae. Words cannot express how scrumptious this was. Atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was so comfortable and inviting. Don’t miss going to this place. !!
