It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends.
Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round.
Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood!

The shrimp was nearly the best I’ve ever had, especially the grilled cajun shrimp. All of the sides were delicious, and the food was very hot and fresh. Despite it being nearly 100° outside, the inside of the building was nice and cool. There were ocean and beach themed decorations. Our waitress (Hailey I believe) did an amazing job of checking up on us, and was very helpful when we had questions. You coult tell she knew what she was doing, and she was very kind while serving.We are extremely satisfied with our food and service; I recommend this Shrimp Basket to anyone looking for seafood in the area.

Decided to give this a try while on vacation. Ordered take out though it was a bit off on when it was ready I was offered a drink while waiting and several staff members checked on me until food was ready. It smelled delicious inside while waiting so could not wait until we got our food. Everything was delicious by the way!

Seafood queso, all you can eat popcorn shrimp either fried, cajun, blackened or grilled, turnip greens and broccoli, count ahrimp, flounder fingers were all a hit and a great place to take the kids!

Ate here our first night of a week long vacation. The wife & I each ordered the fried seafood dinner with popcorn shrimp, regular shrimp, fish (flounder?), oysters, hush puppies, corn fitter, French fries, shrimp coleslaw & stuffed crab. I can’t complain about a single thing in the meal. The seafood was fried with great tasting breading made just right. Everything was so good we’ve already decided to return before going back home and we normally try a new eatery every day while on vacation (especially seafood). Pranks right up there as the best fired seafood I’ve ever had. Prices are very fair too. Atmosphere is fine. Nothing amazing but not bad or dirty by any means either. Had to wait about 30 minutes for a party of 2 on a Saturday night on the main strip at Perdido Key which didn’t seem bad to me. Plus it gave us time to look over the menu & decide. I’d recommend to anyone who is a fried seafood lover. Although their steamers looks good too!

Stopped in last night for dinner and was Greeted by the staff and they were all very friendly. Had a short wait of 20-30 minutes but was able to get a drink at the bar Angelina was the bartender and she was Great!! Drinks were delicious!! Our server was Hailey and she was so Sweet and took such Good Care of Us! She recommended the blackened redfish and coconut shrimp they were both Excellent!! Had boom boom shrimp as a Starter and it was Delicious! Nothing I can complain about , we will definitely be back soon!!
