We went there for our anniversary and the whole dining experience couldn’t have been any better! Service was great, our appetizers came out fast and were delicious. The steaks and sides were amazing. Highly recommend the bacon/potato hash, roasted brussel sprouts sides. My NY strip was cooked perfectly and Danny the owner always makes you feel at home!

Went here with a friend. The food was delicious. The steaks were nicely seasoned, and cooked well. The mashed potatoes were surprisingly good, not mushy, and green beans were not over cooked like other places. The service was personable and relaxing. The drinks were delicious. Would have had more but needed to return to Jersey. Will return.

In my carnivore opinion, Ruddy & Dean is the best steakhouse in the city for the money. Manhattan and Brooklyn don’t have anything over our gem of a restaurant on Staten Island! Danny runs a well oiled machine with Phil expertly at the helm in the kitchen.

Very poor quality food. We left disappointed and hungry. We each took one or 2 bites from our plates and was enough to know we made the wrong choice. The waitress asked “Do you want that wrapped to go?” Seriously! I just wanted to get the check and get out as fast as I could 🙁

First off I want to say that the service was great when I visited and the wait staff was very attentive. Me and my girlfriend came in for dinner and we had the sesame crusted yellow fin tuna as an appetizer which was okay but not the greatest. My girlfriend then ordered the filet minion while I ordered the Kansas City strip. We both were very underwhelmed by the steaks. Don’t get me wrong they were cooked perfectly at medium rare but the quality or the seasoning left us wanting more. We were expecting a lot more based on the reviews and maybe we came on a bad night because it was a Monday but I honestly expected better.
