This is my SPOT!! Basically it’s a all-in-one vibe; you have the corner store in the front, kitchen in the back and even slot machines in the middle. I found them a few years ago and come back everytime I’m in town. The fish is fresh, delicious chicken, yummy loaded potatoes, great cheesecake and the list goes on. Good family vibes, you can tell they love serving their neighborhood.

It’s been a few years since I ate from here but I checked the current reviews and they seemed promising. Unfortunately the food wasn’t good at all. I ordered a chicken philly with fries and it was a let down. The philly was dry, it had no peppers, onions or jalapeños and somehow it was salty in some spots and tasteless in others. It also seemed as though I got the end of the bag fries so they were terrible too.

The main cook is absolutely disrespectful and rude. They will deliberately make your food take longer if you ask them about your food. What kind of service is that? The owners don’t care how the cooks treat people because people keep coming back. And the cooks have a whole cheerleading section of crackheads that decide whether or not somebody’s food is going to take forever. My first time there was great but my second time was indeed my last time. Horrible customer service and they really need to clean that kitchen.

Listen, I live in south city and I doordash this place often. The food is really good and not overly priced. Whenever I have called in to make a suggestion to do an add on on their doordash menu I was pleasantly pleased to see those additions the next time I ordered. That let’s me know they value and care about what their customer needs are. Never felt rushed or hurried over the phone but the person on the other end was actually “listening.” My food has always been hot on arrival considering the distance which is impressive. You all are doing a fine job EM!!
