The Nguyen Dynasty was delicious. Well balanced drink made with local gin.

Good service, clean, nice decor. We ordered the Hanoi pho (top) and the combo vermicelli. If you’re a regular connoisseur of Vietnamese food, you might notice that these portions are smaller (and more expensive). The Hanoi broth (which is typically lighter and usually less sweeter than Saigon pho) was actually sweeter and more earthy. The vermicelli was pretty tasty and the protein that was included was very flavorful (chicken, shrimp, pork sausage, pork imperial roll). But it was the fish sauce that made the dish great.

Pretty nice place to have a great Vietnamese food and a drink with friend, very conveniently located at a corner of U village. Way much easier to get in than the SLU store. Had a great time

Ba Bar is one of my wife’s favorite restaurants, she often meets up with one or more friends. Last night, Thursday 8/17/23, was my first experience. I ordered the duck leg confit ramen. My wife ordered a vermicelli bowl and our friends ordered other stuff. My duck leg it’s self was delicious, it came whole with crispy skin, set on top the bowl of ramen. The other components of the ramen were also good but the broth was a bit disappointing. I expected a deep richness of duck flavor in the broth. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Everyone else was very satisfied, which means I’ll be back, next time I’ll try a different menu item; maybe I can just order the duck leg as an appetizer?

Waiter is very forgetful. Forgot about my coffee until I reminded him. Placed an order for the Pandan Cake and it was available at the time of order. However, we we were told it was sold out because someone had taken it. Otherwise, the rest of the experience was pretty good. We ordered Tofu,Seaweed, cabbage salad. It’s ok but I would prefer their crispy imperial roll the next time. We ordered Sai Gon chicken wings. Would have preferred that to be unsweetened and perhaps a bit peppery/salty. The Pho was fantastic because the beef was tender and soup was flavorful. It also comes with Chinese donut for you to dip in the soup.

This is a really cute restaurant with nice interior design and good food! They have happy hour 2-5pm on weekdays! We had the fried oyster and chicken wings with one drink under $20! Our server is super friendly and she checks on us pretty often. Overall really great dinning experience here.

Ba Bar’s U Village location is a cute blue dot on the less busy side of the street. The food looks and tastes fresh and is actually on the healthy side. Soup noodles were delicious – our table ordered the curry noodles and pho ga tron. While the curry flavor was pleasant, I thought the pho could use more meat and quickly turned into a mass of noodles that overwhelmed the soup.

Not sure if I would go back. If I was in the village area again and wanted something warm… maybe only because they have so many other restaurants at the mall.

The pho and the environments are exceptional! My friend used to come here for the porridge but unfortunately the menu is discontinued. What a shame!
