The best Chinese Food I have ever had! The egg roll just went on and on after swallowed. The dinners my husband and I had both were so packed with flavor that they too went on and on forever! I would be so fat if I worked here because I would literally never stop eating. The best steak, the best shrimp and it really doesn’t matter what seasoning/plate you choose— you cannot go wrong at the Mayflower. Definitely coming back!

I’m so glad there is a nice Chinese restaurant here in uptown Urbana. I stopped in here for lunch around noon. I ordered the hot & spicy princess chicken along with an egg roll. That was a GREAT choice. The food was very hot, fresh, and delicious. I loved the crunchy, fresh egg roll with the sweet & sour sauce. As a bonus I ordered a small bottle of sake to go. I love this restaurant and will return soon for a nice Chinese dinner. ❤️

This place is good for a nice meal with family and friends. I got the garlic chicken with egg drop soup. The portions were pretty big. The hostess/server did a good job on service. The inside is ok. Definitely not new. The egg roll was nice and crispy.i would have liked some sauces for it but all we got was soy. I would go back again.

Mayflowers is one of the best Chinese restaurants I’ve ever been to, even having lived near Chinatown in NYC for many years. It also has to be in the running for the best restaurant overall in Urbana. Particularly tasty are the wonton soup and Shrimp Lover’s Delight. Great spot for American-style Chinese food that sticks closely to authentic Chinese flavors and quality. Love the owner (Carol). Can’t recommend highly enough!

Awful food. There was a puddle of oil sitting on my food! I took 2 bites and my stomach started to turn! I spoke to the only person who is ever here and she yelled at me and told me to order something different next time! There won’t be a next time!! Go somewhere else and get you a good meal because you will never get one here!!!!!

I would NEVER RECOMMEND eating here! The food is way over priced! We got 6 pices of sesame chicken, a small scoop of rice and a “extra side” of rice, 2 cans of soda for $17.50. The place is very dirty, the rice was old and hard, the 6 pices of chicken were good but I had never had sesame sauce as runny or salty! If you eat in DONT LOOK AT THE PRICES or all the nasty food/dirt on the menu! They are “out dated” and that is somehow the customers responsible to know that. Consider yourself warned ⚠️

I wish I could say ZERO stars! Sat for 15 minutes and never got to order. One other family sitting. Only passing comment from THE host/waitress/cook (all same person) was a question if 1 or 2 checks. We walked out. Don’t waste your time here and go ANYWHERE!

If you could give no stars I would…went in..lady was ok in beginning.we got our drinks..she brought them over on tray and just dropped the whole tray on table and walked away. Brought my egg roll out and after 1 bite …it tasted mushy on inside. When I said something to her..she said no one has ever complained about her eggrolls. The sauce was thrown on plate..no dipping bowl or anything. Food came out and the lo mein was crunchy and my chicken and broccoli tasted tainted..we got up ..waited for lady to come out of kitchen and I told her what was wrong and she started yelling at me..in over 30 yrs no one has complained about my food..which after reading few reviews that was untrue. She said she was all by herself and food was fine. I told her I would be happy to pay for our drinks but food was unedible..she kept yelling. She said I just was too picky and wanted to complain and come into find place to relax….continued to yell even when she was checking out another customer who had take out order. The restaurant was completely empty at 5 in afternoon…was dark and dingy. I have never been spoken to this way before. Even my grandson asked why she was so mean. Completely unacceptable. Im sorry she didn’t like criticism of her food but not gonna eat something that is gonna make me sick.
