Treated my nephew and my son for the beginning of their new school year. The server was GREAT… the food was good… the atmosphere was pleasant. We enjoyed our appetizers and food, but did not like the shrimp chips… the caused us to sneeze and cough uncontrollably. We laughed it off, but I doubt any of us will ever eat them again. I ate my oysters before getting a chance to take a pic for this review. I ordered the rum punch and a seafood broil with lobster and a claw… the boys both ordered the seafood broil with extra mussels and a lemonade.

I will come back just to have Jasmine as our sever again. We visited back in June (late review) and she has the best personality. The blue Point oysters were amazing. I loved being able to add noodles to seafood boil. I do wish it would have been angel hair or something thinner but the spaghetti noodles did the job that day. I can’t remember if we had drinks or not which means they were probably just okay. Hushpuppies and wings were also good. Lastly, I didn’t care for the seafood chips (not sure what they are called) that they put on the table.

I stopped in and had the Fried Lobster tail with Cajun fries. Lobster tail was fried perfectly, hot, and tasted good. The Cajun fries were a great addition to the meal and tasted good as well. I also had the passion fruit lemonade and it was yummy. We sat near the bar so the bat tender was taking care of us. She was very nice, attentive, and knew the menu very well. I forgot her name but my visit was pleasant and will go again

Darren was our server. He is also the bartender. He greeted us promptly and mad e recommendations, he knew what sauce combo would be a hit. There was no line or wait time on a Saturday night and the atmosphere was relaxed with high, helpful & positive energy from the staff. Oysters were super fresh. The food was served hot and quick! I think I have a new seafood spot in this area

Not only does this place have some of the best po’ boys I’ve ever had, but it’s also one of the only places in the Atlanta area that sells beignets. The seafood boils also look great, but unfortunately I was on a bit of a budget and couldn’t get one. In any case, I highly recommend Hook & Reel.

Our waiter was really nice and the food came out fast! Wasn’t impressed with the virgin Caribbean pina colada I ordered so that was a bummer. The crab legs wasn’t fresh at all however the manager was kind enough to take it off our bill. I absolutely loved the lemon pepper wings!! I also ordered the crabmeat loaded sweet potato fries and it was AMAZING!! Was the best part of the meal. My mom ordered the seafood feast I believe it’s called. The fried calamari was disgusting. Tasted like fried rubber however everything else was great! Overall I like this place and I’m impressed with how reasonable their prices are. I give them an 8/10

The restaurant itself was clean and accessible. Good parking and decent customer service. But the food and alcoholic drinks were GROSS. We started off with Calamari and it was tough. The seafood boil lacked flavor and the fried catfish was utterly disgusting it was flavorless and soggy actually didn’t taste like catfish at all. We told our server but she just smiled and said oh… We got the catfish basket and did not want fries so we paid an additional $2.50 and the salad was very small.

This was a great experience. I can’t remember the name of the bartender but she is a short lady with a Mohawk styled hair. She knew that menu and bar in and out. Patient while I decided and gave amazing service. Food was quick and fresh. Clam chowder was plentiful and full of meat. I got the muscles, shrimp and scallop broil. It was great and by far one of the best seafood places I have been too in a while. Watch the video for a verbal review.
