The Village – specializing in Nigerian food – does a fantastic job of preparing a style of food that can be difficult to come by. With a welcoming atmosphere and a narrow but appealing menu, The Village is a great spot to check out.

I ordered the village meal, beef and jollof rice. I was given a large serving of jollof that was dry and plain. Tasted like white rice and hot sauce. For the beef I got 4 small inedible rubber pieces of beef, if that’s what it really was. I couldn’t tell. They also put a bunch of sweet banana I didn’t ask for. Not worth the $$

This food is amazing and sooo filled with flavor omg! Usually most restaurants I have been to after you get their food the first time it tastes amazing but then they fall off after the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th time despite giving them chance after chance. This restaurant though!! This is my third time having their food and it still tastes so full of flavorful spices..I’m not saying they are spicy so don’t run and get scared lol. I had the vegetarian efo riro, the pounded yams with the efo riro and the jollof rice which is the best I ever had. I feel like I have finally found a restaurant that is consistent with their tasty food!

Food was awesome, friendly and helpful service and a nicely decorated space. Can’t wait to go back and try more dishes.

Looking for local places to eat we stumbled upon this local Nigerian restaurant. This was our first experience with African food. Because we were new to many of the dishes we looked things up before we got there and came with an open mind and empty stomachs.

Came to order some Nigerian food. Honestly I ended up throwing the food away. The oil was old, which ended up messing the entire taste of the food up. They gaved out huge portions of food and friendly staff. That’s the only reason I rate 3 stars.

My family is sick with COVID and we were hoping to have a hearty Nigerian meal like my mom would make. However that is NOT what we got; rather we were sorely disappointed. The Pepper soup with assorted meat was bland and packaged poorly in multiple rectangular plastic containers. There was hardly any meat in the soup either. Efo riro and puff puff were both good. But the most upsetting part of our meal was the moin moin. It was delivered FROZEN. On what planet would a restaurant deliver a dinner order frozen?? Especially without any kind of warning? You should have just said you didn’t have it. This was not my first time eating from this restaurant. In my experience, their service is lacking and the food is a strong hit or miss.

INCREDIBLE FOOD! The jollof is unreal, the puff puffs are so sweet and tasty, and the meat pies… don’t even get me started. I just picked up 36 of them – THEY ARE SO WELL SEASONED. 10/10 restaurant, and the customer service is amazing!

I don’t have a whole lot of experience with Nigerian restaurants. I’ve been to a few, and I usually get Joloff rice and chicken. And it’s always ok, but I’ve never been really excited about food I got from a Nigerian restaurant, until now. I got the “designer stew” with chicken. The host was very nice and got worried when he heard I had never gotten it before because it’s very spicy. So he offered to let me try it first before ordering. It was awesome! Yes it was spicy. It was 3 drumsticks and a hard-boiled egg with some really unique and delicious sauce. I ordered another one to bring home so my wife and kids could try it. It was a big hit. I can’t wait to go back and try some more food here.
