While enjoying a sister’s weekend on the Eastern Shore we decided to stop at Marker 5 for lunch. It’s not an obvious find from the street, but my sister had been there before, so she knew where to look for it. It’s right in the marina, so there’s a nice view out to the boats, and we enjoyed watching the yachts and sailboats come in and out underneath the Drawbridge. They have a sphere inside is equally charming, with paintings from a local artist on the wall depicting area sites. The service was a little bit slow, but the server was a nice lady, who said she only works there every other weekend. Sadly, the food was subpar in comparison to the atmosphere. My sister has a tile fish special, and it was very heavily seasoned, although she didn’t hate it. I ordered the shrimp avocado sandwich. I was very disappointed. It had some sort of tomato bacon jam on it that had no flavor at all. It was served on Texas toast which was soggy. The shrimp wasn’t seasoned virtually at all, and they had foot spring mix in the sandwich, which was all mushy by the time it got to me. We also ordered the crab fritter appetizer. I thought it was very overpriced for the for a little round balls we received, and again I didn’t think they were very flavorful. I like that they try to have imagination, but their skills at building a solid player profile, and knowing when to use the right ingredients for a delicious result just weren’t there. Overall the lunch for two of us was well over $100, which was a lot for subpar food. I don’t think I would eat there again, despite the beautiful atmosphere.

My new favorite restaurant on the shore! My folks live around the corner and I get to enjoy this awesome joint whenever I visit! So lucky! I highly recommend the entire menu, but if you do eat anything, get the fries! Always! They even do a delicious brick oven pizza. The view is second to none, with an equally impressive staff! Thanks for the hospitality and see you in September!Cheers!

The great: the food was excellent. Everything is cooked from scratch and to order. The food also came out very quickly after it was ordered.

Among our favorite places on eastern shore! Food is always really great with the freshest of fish imported directly from Whittmans. Great place for kids to watch boats coming and going with the draw bridge lifting for the taller ones. Specials are always my go to and any dessert made by Tilghman Island baking company are to die for. Only down side – and I am really picking here – is service can be slow sometimes. That being said the staff is always super friendly.

We dine here weekly and consider ourselves lucky! Talk about a farm to table experience, if you want to sample their most popular dishes, get there early. The wood fired pizza is amazing and pairs perfectly with the crush of the day. Our favorite place to share a cocktail or have dinner with friends! Love this place

The wife and I went to Tilghman Island for the very first time yesterday afternoon, and decided to go to both of the restaurants by the drawbridge to try them out. Marker 5 doesn’t look like much from the unpaved parking lot, but the waterfront outdoor tables offer one of the most beautiful, peaceful, authentically Eastern Shore views we’ve ever had the privilege to enjoy. The staff was friendly, the crushes were ice cold and boozy, the oysters (I didn’t ask where from) were tasty in a neutral sort of way (neither too salty nor too pondy, if that’s a word), and the Maryland crab soup was thick and well-seasoned, just the way I like it. We loved the hour or two that we spent relaxing at Marker 5, and we’ll definitely be back.

Too bad I can’t leave 6 stars – this place is unbelievable! All their food is fresh and obviously made from scratch. Gyro pizza with house made gyro – so so good! Best wings I’ve ever had as well. No need to figure out where to eat out in the area – choose Marker Five and you will not be disappointed.
