The Felix’s story is that of the New Orleans oyster bar. Ask any New Orleanian where their dad or grandpa took them for their first oysters. The answer is always Felix’s..
Back in the 1940’s, Felix’s put the New Orleans oyster bar on the map, creating a place where oyster-lovers could ‘belly up to the bar’ and have the freshest oysters shucked right in front of them. Felix’s fast became a New Orleans’ institution that drew a devoted local, national and international following which has inspired generations of oyster fans.

Food was spectacular! Highly recommend the add-on of the soft shell crab to your entree. Chilean sea bass was very delicate and seasoned perfectly.

Tia was an amazing waitress who had a marvelous attitude despite some restaurant mishaps that had nothing to do with her. She handled it all with grace and care. The food came quickly and was so delicious! As Louisianans at a NOLA restaurant in Florida, we could not be happier. The roasted beet salad was fantastic, and the fry was perfect. The Crab Dip and Bread Pudding was amazing and a wonderful recommendation from Tia.

We decided to dine here on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Definitely a must try when you visit. On top of the amazing food, our server, Jade, was amazing. She was attentive and provided the best service. Overall, a great restaurant!

Beautiful place! With a wonderful view! Fresh food, good beer and great service! the oysters were the best! this is the one time you can come back again and again! Prices are above average but worth it. the only thing was a little salty for me, but it’s not a big problem!

We stopped by Felix’s on our last night in Pensacola beach, hoping that we had saved the best for last. Boy were we wrong. Don’t get me wrong the service was good, but the food was horrible. My husband got the gumbo and we should have taken our cue then and closed out our tab and left. The gumbo had no okra. No flavor. Even adding hot sauce didn’t help. The crab dip came out and that is the only reason I am giving 2 stars. The crab dip was good. Then the entrees. Jambalaya pasta and the namesake Felix pasta. I figured if you have names this dish after the restaurant then it HAS to be good. Negative. It tasted like it came from a can. I couldn’t finish it. I asked the server to take it away. My husbands jambalaya was ok – nothing to write home about. Our bill came out and my pasta was still on there. The server said I guess I can get the at taken off for You. Ummm yes!! I asked you take to remove it from my sight within 2 bites. The view and the actual restaurant is great. But the server told us that they have turnover issues in the kitchen and that the new chef us changed some of the recipes and has started using premade items (this the canned food tastes tot my pasta).

It was my mom’s 80th birthday so my Aunt reserved a space for about 20+ of us to celebrate her. I had never been to Felix’s so I was really looking forward to it. The restaurant is gorgeous, beautifully decorated with views of the water everywhere you looked. The staff was friendly and we were welcomed with open arms.

They should at-least add one vegetarian item to menu. Glad they could make substitutions but zero options for vegan/vegetarian. Waiter was very patient in writing down what I need and great service.

I visited on my birthday. My server was awesome. I was given a slice of chocolate cake. I also have a black pepper allergy. I was able to have my shrimp fried in flour. It was very good. I appreciate being able to enjoy it. It was so hard to find a restaurant on the island to accommodate me. I really thank you’ll!!

Brunch this morning was the BEST! Raw oysters were big and icy cold! Next course was chargrilled. So good and the garlicky bread was a bonus! My chimichurri flank steak and eggs finally filled my hollow leg! I was a bit confused on the”bottled” mimosas on the menu but when Chad explained it was a bottle of champagne with small glasses of orange , cranberry, or pineapple juice… or combo therof, we were in! Chad was spot on in timing our meal and so very pleasant. I had done another wonderful review on this place but wasn’t aware I couldn’t do another unless I deleted the first but it was 5 stars too and wanted to give Chad a shout out!
