Nice looking spot. Well decorated. Maybe 3.5/5 but our server disappeared, we didn’t get our drinks, sauce was not spicy even though we ordered hot. Overall mediocre taste. The meat was very nicely done but I didn’t taste anything special about the rest of the food and sides. Didn’t opt for any dessert since the experience wasn’t that great to begin with. Worth a visit but only one time for me.

The espetadas were interesting to have. They are basically skewers hanging from the top, so it’s easy to slide off and serve. The side dishes were good portions, too. The chicken was flavorful, though the garlic source is not spicy at all. The hot sauce had some bite to it, and I would recommend that on the chicken.

If someone’s looking for halal Portuguese cuisine, it’s a must recommended restaurant From the foods we ordered, I loved the bang bang shrimp the most. The chicken espetadas & the peri chicken was good for me. Didn’t like the beef espetadas much. It wasn’t enough soft, felt kinda chewy & the spices didn’t blend well with the meat. So deducting one point for this. The fries, tots & spicy rice were ok! I loved the sizzling brownie with ice cream so much!!!!

PLEASE DON’T GO HERE, as someone with Portuguese heritage this place is a disgrace, the people in the comments are not Portuguese and clearly have never had Portuguese food smh, this place do not use Portuguese spices whatsoever on top of the food being unauthentic and disgusting, they will rip you off, I order the mega platter (almost $60 with tax!!)and this is all I received. Any Portuguese people reading this please don’t go here and support this disgusting appropriation of our culture, please support a real Portuguese restaurant and save your money

Found this amazing halal restaurant in NJ. We ordered broccoli cheddar soup, chicken tortilla soup, chicken espetadas with our choice of sauce and two sides each, half chicken with two sides, sizzling brownie, and a slice of strawberry cheesecake. Everything was finger licking delicious. Loved the side of baked potato topped with cheese and sour cream and the potato tots were also great. The soups could have been better.

Ordered the chicken special today, mild. It was super juicy, great flavor and had that charcoal grilled flavor and crisp exterior. The tots were more like fries cut into thirds, salted and peppered, no wow factor, though enough for an army. Added a side of grilled pineapple- on point. All came to $15 and change.

I Am late on posting a review. We visited in September. We were traveling to Washington DC from NYC and we stopped here for lunch. We didn’t know it was their breakfast time. We asked them if we can order from lunch menu and they gladly agreed to serve us lunch around 11am.

Espetadas was always my top pick for delightful meals. But my recent order, a pickup including chicken and cheese burgers with fries, turned out to be a letdown. The flavors just weren’t right, and most of the items appeared to be stale; the fries were unfortunately inedible. This disappointing experience has me second-guessing whether I’ll return. It’s sad to see a place I used to love leave me with such a disheartening feeling.
