Not sure if we came on an off night but after reading the reviews my husband and I were excited to try since we are not from the area. We spent over $100 and still went home and got pizza. Disappointed. The lobster I had was way over cooked and my husband got the special which the only thing special about it was it looked niced tasted like rubber.

This had to be some of the best food in my life. The steak was juicy cooked perfectly and everything was the correct portion size, as in yes you could actually eat this without too much leftovers. The desert is an amazing cheese cake with fresh fruits and a creme bruleed top. Service was great too! 10/10 would recommend this!

Baroncini’s is an Iowa City institution that doesn’t rest on its laurels. We took my wife’s father to Baroncini’s last night—his first visit from out of state. We knew the restaurant would make an excellent impression and serve as a fine introduction to Iowa City. The menu isn’t overwhelming, but it’s always difficult to narrow down what you want. We enjoyed the polenta, a sausage ravioli, a seafood risotto, and a lemon tart with a pistachio crust. The pasta is all made in-house. The tart looked and tasted like a work of art. My wife is vegetarian, and they accommodated her with ease. Our server, Adam, knew the menu and wine list inside and out. He was attentive and engaged. We had a lovely evening, and I know we’ll be going back whenever my father-in-law is in town.

I emailed ahead of time about the Frozen Lasagna Verdure. I received a prompt response saying they had some on hand and I could stop by and get it, if I wanted. I did just that. They got it for me, right away, and there were no issues.
