Fun place to try new foods with groups. I recommend getting about three to four tapas per person and sharing for the best experience. However, it can get a bit pricey.

Cozy, laid-back local tapas place with delicious food. Strongly recommend the beacon dates, mussels and the carne asada!

There’s a reason they are always so busy! It’s so different now that they take reservations. We didn’t have one so were stuck at the bar this time. It’s a bit too hectic to be enjoyable for conversation. But no complaints about the food, though!

Beautifully renovated building with indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was pleasant and professional and helpful in ordering. Expertly made entrees that ranged from surf to turf to garden. Not to mention the bacon wrapped dates that we had as an appetizer. This is a must stop location if you’re visiting Charlottesville, and a wonderful treat for us who live here. Bon appetit.

Every tapas dish was absolutely delicious and perfectly plated. The grilled octopus had a nice char, and the sauce and charred lemon was a great combo with the octopus. Texture was just the right amount of chew. Would highly recommend the gambas parillas. So garlicky and salty delicious. The hanger steak was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Look forward to coming back here again and trying more dishes.

Incredible experience – what a unique spot. The Paella was just right but the artichoke dip was to die for. Come here with friends and share – you wont regret it.

I LOVE Mas. When I was in college, it was a “treat yo self” type of place. Since graduating, it’s definitely become one of my must-go-to restaurants while in Charlottesville. I have shared Mas with so many of my loved ones and they all love it too. With covid, they started taking reservations which I love. I have waited over an hour for a table before because it’s worth it but I’m so glad I don’t HAVE to anymore. The reservations do tend to book up quickly so be sure to plan ahead. The food that I always order include the carne asada (racion portion), papas bravas (tapas portion), artichoke dip, and the bacon wrapped dates. This past visit, my family also tried the paella and cheesecake which were both yummy. If you’re not super adventurous, I would recommend getting a tapas portion of a few things and then ordering more of whatever you like. The price is the same for two tapas portions as one racion portion.

A hipstery tapas bar in a bad neighbor. You kinda have to fight for your seat if you want a chance at the bar.

The vibe here is so amazing. First time in Charlottesville and some friends suggested this place. It truly did not disappoint. The smoked tomatoes and bacon wrapped dates were my favorite and whoever made my dirty martini knows whats up.

The papas bravas turned out to be a bit salty for me. The roasted artichoke hearts were delicious. The service is great.
