I just got back from Oahu, Hawaii. My daughter lived there but just moved. I was sure I would never have good poke or a Dole Whip again but I was wrong! Island Fin Poke on White Bridge Road in Nashville is deliciously authentic. I only eat the fish if the place is extremely clean and the ingredients are super fresh. I tried all three dishes choices. The fish is sustainably caught, single line fished. It is sushi grade. It was so yummy with no fishy taste so very fresh.

Island Fin has great options for poke bowls! I have been here a couple of times and like to change up the ingredients I choose, but both times have been fantastic. The staff are very friendly and will explain all of different types of toppings and sauces. It’s a great place to grab a healthy delicious meal!

Tried this place two times, and it’s not it. The staff are super friendly, I give them that. They would have 5 stars for customer service and cleanliness. However, the taste of the fish was not right. It tasted extremely un-fresh. Almost had a metallic taste to it, which I never had at other poke places. The first time I went, I thought it was a case of bad luck, so I spaced it out a year. Went in again recently and it still tasted the same. It’s almost gag inducing. There are better places out there, I will not come back.

Owner is such a fine gentleman! He served us all personally to our table and brought our ice creams out when we finished our meal so they wouldn’t melt…. No need for such service at a Poke Bar, but he goes above and beyond!
