Home on vacation looking for a local place to eat with home style cooking and found The Hilltop Diner! What a great place, service was fantastic. We had breakfast, sausage gravy biscuits eggs (cooked exactly how we ordered them) best biscuits we’ve had in a long time in a restaurant. If you’re ever in Wayne WV you gotta stop and check this place out!

We love Hilltop Diner and Pizzeria!! They make you feel very welcome and treat you with a smile and a hello! The food is great! Just like you cooked it yourself, very much home cooking! Our waitress made me a speciality coffee that was amazing!! The price you pay for all the food you get will make you very happy!! You won’t leave hungry!! I had to take dessert with me and trust me, I am very glad I did!! It did not disappoint!! I can’t say enough great things about the Hilltop except go see for yourself!! We will be back, if not for the delicious every day specials they have then for the coffee and desserts!! Our new favorite hang out!!

I tried this Dinner because I heard a woman in my Doctor’s office talking about it. I had the fried mushrooms and the Italian Sub platter. I enjoyed the food even though I was only able to eat half. Subway could learn a lot from these people. I left full and happy. It took a little bit longer to get my food because they made it fresh. The food was served hot and really good. We also bought four pieces of cake to take home. Great cake!

Don’t be fooled by these recent reviews. This place is horrible. Family of four went in and all got different items from the menu. NONE OF US finished them. Meat on sandwiches was low tier lunch meat (buddigs cheap stuff) and we got like 1 each. Not to mention they were out of LITERALLY EVERYTHING we asked for. All of us had to change our orders because they were out of stock, and the only appetizer they had was Mozzarella sticks. This place is horrible and i would sooner go to Walmart and cook my own meal than ever give this place my hard earned money. AVOID.

This little mom & pops is the real deal. My first time here, but I’ll be back. I had the Italian and a slice of the double chocolate cake. Sandwich bordered on the impeccable. Meat was layered and probably 1/2 thick. As good of a sandwich as I’ve had in 25 years. The cake was triple layer and moist. Staff is friendly and attentive. I’ll be back.
