The lady at the front was extremely helpful and nice. The food was ready within 5 minutes and it was burning hot. I got the chili shack plate and do not regret it at all. Great tacos. We also got the burrito. Price is decent as well. Definitely worth it!

Found this place when Westword featured them in a special Denver Burger Week promo. Ordered a shack burger with onion rings after the woman at the counter couldn’t decide if the fries or onion rings were better so splurged on rings. Order the meal to go so I could eat at home. As I waited just a little bit, I noticed that here it was about 6 PM and almost all the booths had dirty tables, seats, or both. Might explain a couple people at a table on other side and two other customers ahead of me also getting to go orders. Got home and opens the lid to a great looking burger. I thought the wording saying the burger was topped with bacon sounded different that burger comes with bacon. But that green chili was the true star. I want to get more food from them and it the chili doesn’t come with the food, I have to order it on the side. The onion rings were good too but that chili was the star of the show.

They need a new cook because it used to be great. But now, the tacos don’t come crispy, you can tell they don’t leave them on the grill long enough anymore. And the fries have been cold and not crispy at all. I want hot and crispy when I eat there, and it just doesn’t happen anymore. The cook prepared my meal in less that two minutes. Fried tacos should feel fried. Definitely loosing a customer now, if not more because of this

I’m my opinion $19 for a 1 person meal is pricey. I was not to sure about the style of cooking. The tacos have nacho cheese that was different the way they cooked the tortilla was very good crunchy. The chilie cheese fries are very good also crispy. Again I did not like the nacho cheese they added to them . A little on the spicy side . The building it self is very clean . The staff is friendly.

I was going to go to Panda Express next door but decided to go to the Chili Shack and I definitely made the right decision. The best tacos I’ve ever had. So much flavor! And the chili cheese fries are to die for. This is the place to go. I’m definitely coming back!

This place is awesome! Probably the best tacos I have ever had. I ordered the Chili Shack plate. It comes with three grilled tacos; I chose ground beef. It also comes with a side of chili cheese fries. The green chili is so good!! My husband got the street tacos, and they were all good as well. My daughter loved her southwest burger. All in all, it was a great experience. We’re going back today!!

I was really excited to share this review as I have been to the Chili Shack numerous times in the past. In places in order online , I ordered the shack plate (3 steak tacos plain with cheese and chili cheese fries), my wife ordered the nachos w/pico and onions. We received our food from Grub Hub, and the food looked great. As we checked our food to ensure the special instructions were followed, we found out that the instructions were missed and our food was loaded with peppers, onions and tomato. We ended up tossing our food and making a late dinner at home. The owner did reply to my review- by the way Grub Hub did reimburse us for our food due to the comments that were placed during the order. Thank you!

Chili shack was not bad .. food was good and the prices are a but high.. the place was super clean and had a pleasant atmosphere.. the service was ok it was not bad but not great. But I don’t expect much from a place that is kinda like chubbys… but if u have not been there it is a place worth a try.. you may find you like it or love.. so enjoy and try it.
