This place opened a couple months ago and has become my new favorite meal out in Detroit Lakes. The Raman bowls are delicious and the broth is homemade. They have a wide assortment of sushi and everything I’ve had is great but I would suggest the jaide roll. The whole staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and very friendly, especially Emalie.

Owner and sushi chef are passionate about serving great food. The sushi fish and rice are very well done. My only critique is too thick of rice on the specialty roll I ordered, basic rolls had the perfect amount of rice (see pics). Overall very delicious and will be back again and again. This is a standout among Northern MN dining for sure!

We have been here many times in the last year and the food and service could not be better. This place offers such a great variety of foods to choose from. This time my wonderful wife and I ordered the variety four piece chicken dinner w/mixed sautéed vegetables. There was a wonderful amount of veggies and lots of chicken, of which we took at least half home. The side salad was far from just ordinary, as you can see there are many flavorful items in it! No doubt, we see ourselves considering the Sapphire Restaurant as our favorite place to go now!

Some of the items on the menu had run out the day I was there but otherwise, food was wonderful. Staff were very accommodating, checked on us regularly, and were very knowledgeable about other options on the menu. Highly recommend the takoyaki!!!

Lisa, our server was awesome. It’s not a chain. it’s always good to try something new. Very knowledgeable and helpful since we opted to share a dinner. Got Seafood Bites (appetizer) and Panko Shrimp Dinner. There could have been a bit more shrimp and less panko. Homemade soup was excellent and made in the restaurant kitchen.

My friend and I went here for lunch and were impressed! The menu had lots of options and is very reasonable. We got the bento boxes which were delicious and generously proportioned. You can’t even tell it used to be a Country Kitchen, very stylish now. So glad we have an option for fresh sushi here!
