Food was excellent but service was slow. We waited a long time for our drinks and we almost finished our apps before we even received them. Sizzling Garlic Shrimp had an amazing sauce and was cooked perfectly, pistachio Guac was the best we’ve had all year.

Food was very good and the service was good. Drink orders took a little long to come but the overall experience was fine. I would definitely go back.

We went to this restaurant for the first time yesterday and had a fantastic experience! The food was delicious, the craft cocktails were excellent and the waitstaff was incredibly attentive. We brought our dog and they could not have been more accommodating.

Food was genuinely just okay. A nice-ish place to take your parents or friends who are not foodies and just want to try some Mexican(ish) food. Service is quite lacking but understandable as they just opened. Drinks were bad. Decor is very nice but it’s quite loud so I didn’t enjoy the ambiance that much.

I was looking forward to my reservation at Happy Monkey for a mom-daughter date I planned for my mom, as their drinks/atmosphere seemed promising. I traveled from NYC to dine here. I made a reservation a week in advance, and confirmed it by phone. We dressed well for the atmosphere and came on time to honor my reservation. We were seated appropriately by a hostess.

I was excited to come to Happy Monkey as my daughter reserved a time for us for a mom-daughter night. But after being seated by a hostess, a man in a suit (may be the manager) came up to our table. We smiled and were friendly assuming he was our waiter, but he instead asked if we indeed had a reservation and to confirm our names. He asked if someone did indeed seat us or if we just walked in, as if he didn’t appreciate seeing us there even though we’re two well dressed professional women.

Delish food and drinks, nice vibe/music. The hostesses were very nice & helpful. Had a drink at bar, before being seated for dinner—the scene behind the bar was a little frenetic. Nice spot in a pretty town.

What can I say it’s an experience the food was a party in your mouth explosions at different times the quality care and details will blow you away✔️ It’s a very subtle elegance relaxed atmosphere, The service was so friendly and accommodating perfect for Greenwich Avenue!!!! My favorite was the mushrooms with goat cheese the balance of the earthiness and the acidity really hits the mark!! Of course you have to finish off with the corn flan OMG Cheers to you Happy Monkey may you be blessed with many years of success!!

The service was great – I ate at the bar and my bartender was very attentive and helpful. The food and drinks were nothing special. I had fluke crudo and barbecue pork tacos – fluke pieces were cut inelegantly thick and there was nothing barbecue about the pork – flavor profile was missing. Fig crisp was sweet to the point of being inedible. If you want high end Mexican cousine, go to Cosme in NYC. Monkey did not meet my expectations and I won’t be dining there again.
