This place is phenomenal: when i tell you to run, don’t walk, you know it’s that good! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the folks behind the bar. There was seating available which was lucky, since there were a number of reserved spots. Definitely call ahead and reserve if you’re planning to come during busy brunch hours.

2nd time there in 1 week! The food is delicious. Everyone doesn’t make good grits! But they make them awesome! The atmosphere is amazing. The music and happiness in the place are so inviting. The staff is friendly and on point. This is a West Philly Gem!!!

I went there on a Sunday and if it’s like this all the time they need a bigger place to support their customer base. The place is refreshing, friendly and the food is good but they need bigger plates to hold the food they serve. The ox tail and grits was delicious and well seasoned but for the price they should’ve given out more than three ox tails. Overall my guest and I enjoyed Toast Cafe and I believe you will too.

This food was out of sight, the customer service was superb the environment was inviting clean, warm and Serene. We had a great dining experience. One of West Philadelphia’s best kept secret. Don’t cheat yourself, treat yourself and get on over to the Toast Cafe ASAP!

I was invited by the owner, Jae and really enjoyed the food, decor & homey atmosphere. Def the best new brunch spot in Philly! The Sunday oxtail & grits special was indeed special. Such a large portion! The praline & cream French toast was phenomenal. The sauce was sweet with the perfect hint of salted Carmel. I love the decor of the place especially the Malcolm X wall & the bathroom. My server Milan and the manager Brandon were so nice & accommodating as well. If you’re thinking of visiting this spot, just go now!

I love supporting black own business especially restaurants. Nice atmosphere with R&B playing in the background. The wait staff was friendly and very accommodating. I ordered oxtails and grits. Very large portion and absolutely delicious. The owner J even took a minute to say hello and Thanked us for coming and invited us back again. Keep serving delicious food. ❤️
