Been coming here since I was a kid and the Chile Relleno is the best I’ve ever had always on point. Burrito Ranchero is always my goto meal from here. It’s a giant burrito and their prices are extremely decent! I would cry if this place ever closes its doors. Thankfully they fo great business here so I doubt it will.

Picture this. Your driving North on Chester to head out of town. Your wife says she wants tacos, so you swing into jack n the box. but no, she needs real tacos, but you’ve already past the few places you know about. You whip out the Google and this place pops as a suggestion. You drive over and watch as she gets some of the tastiest looking street tacos you’ve seen yet in Bakersfield. She’s sitting in the seat next to you telling you how delicious and filling they are, as you stare at the sad jack in the taco in your hand. Then as she nears the end she takes pity on you and offers you the last bite. Heaven. I love street tacos, and these may have been the best I’ve found so far. This place was a nice diamond in the rough find. Will definitely need to swing by again and again

The service was very very good . The food was good not great. Problem is although it is a small place. The neighborhood is really holding them back in a make sure you lock your car and beware of customers smelling like smoke.

I stopped off for lunch today. ElTaquito is located right at the intersection of North Chester and Hughes. I was immediately greeted and offered a table. I ordered two Carnitas tacos with rice and beans. The food was fresh and very good.
