Okay this is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever had! First of all service was amazing, the waitress was so sweet and attentive really made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant (even thought it was PACKED). Second the drinks were delicious, I got the cali margarita that hit the spot after a long week. It was refreshing and had the perfect hint of tequila! Now for food… the arugula chicken salad was chiefs kiss, the mango salsa they have on top was such a nice twist! You can tell that the ingredients were fresh and everything was prepared on the spot. Overall 11/10 experience and have been recommended this spot to EVERYONE!

The food was delicious! We sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful. The establishment was clean. I had a Strawberry Margarita with G4 tequila. It was perfectly made. I ordered the Chilaquiles. It came with Peruvian beans (which are my favorite), choice of meat, and two eggs on the side. My friends ordered tacos, and their tacos were made with homemade tortillas! Have to go back and try these next time because they looked delicious.

First time trying out this New Mexican restaurant in SLO! It has become my new favorite spot. The Molecajete was huge!!! All the meats and seafood in it were so tender. I tried some of my boyfriend’s chicken enchilada with green salsa and I was really impressed. The chicken wasn’t dry at all and the green salsa was excellent. Really great flavors all around. Our server was great and attentive as well. Thank you Bertha! We had a great experience. Can’t wait to come back to try more items on the menu!

Presentation was gorgeous however the taste of the asada was off. Meat tasted old like it had been cooked day before and then warmed up. I expected hot meat. Rice was very salty. Beans were good and chips and salsa were good. Service was great, atmosphere was nice…just expected more from the food

First of all, customer service is exceptional to begin with. Consistency & attentive fine dining service. The food is authentic & delicious (filet mignon tacos are amazing) paired along with delicious craft tequila drinks. The Cali Taco sit-down bar has more than enough tequila bottles to choose from. All in all, great ambiance and great food!

This new location is just as great as their restaurants in SB County. Service was stellar, waitress was very friendly and helpful in choosing between a few different options. The molcajete and mango aguachile were delicious, would definitely recommend it if you’re in the mood for Mexican food!

Had three tacos and a beer for lunch. Chicken variant was great. Chips OK; salsa too chunky to eat without taking either a lot or a little. Very noisy space, in general. Almost oppressive enough to not want to go back … plus they had a kitchen tool (blender?) going on for a few minutes that made it even worse.
