Jammin. El Salvadoran shop on one side, restaurant on the other. Good stuff at good prices. The micheladas are fantastic!

I wish i was lying when i said this but this is by far the worst restaurant in Williamsburg! I ordered two sides or chicharrones and got the portion of one. I was charged $10. When i seen how little i was given i asked for a refund from the lady at the bar and was met with an attitude. The chicharrones was the only reason i came and ordered the food i did so i returned the rest after seeing her reaction. Horrible customer service, she snatched the food and threw the money on the counter after acting like she didn’t understand what i was saying. They need to do better with advertising portions. Also booths and floors were dirty! Would not recommend eating here to anyone.

Don’t be warry going into the restaurant, aesthetically it’s not very pleasing but as Salvadoran I can say the pupusas were very good and authentic. The salsa and curtido were a little bland, I’d also recommend the horchata it is very authentic and not over sweet but over all an amazing experience. Definitely great for a gluten free option.

They get one star foor puousas. They are very tasty everything elso…We ordered a “rotisserie” chicken I believe they dug in the back of their fridge and threw this in the oven. See picture . The rice was raw with crunchy pieces in it. Yuck. Ordered guac with NO spicy , it had great big chunks of jalapeños. Nope.

Looks are deceiving the place looks small from the outside.once inside the place feels comfortable and authentic and then you are hit with a array of Aromas ..smelling some good home cooking. Main dish was excellent . desert was great too service was excellent .the only con was the fountain soda .stay away get canned or a Malta. Great place chicken is awesome..thanks will come again almost forgot the most important part was the puposas the best I ever had ..

Food was good, service not so good. It was clean and we were seated immediately. I waited for a long time for a drink and never received a refill. Parking is difficult due to the location in historic Williamsburg.

My husband and I went here to get some to go food but left with nothing. I tried to order off the ala cart menu and the employee said I couldn’t get it on the ala cart I had to get the dinner ( which was more). Then she said the prices on the menu were not the right prices. So we walked out. We did go to the store next door and there was some interesting things. They had hot food to sell just sitting on the counter not in anything that would keep the food out of the danger zone.

The food here was fantastic! We had the fried yucca and chicharon- wow! I’ve had it in other places, but this one has been the best! We also had the papusas… also the best we’ve had. This place is a hidden gem… Can’t wait to come back to the area just to eat here!

What a pleasant surprise. When traveling we try staying away from chain restaurants. El Sabrosan fit the bill. You have to try their pupusas and Peruvian charcoal chicken. Jacquelyn took care of us and was a pleasure.

We come to Williamsburg every year for spring break and three years ago we decided to come here on a whim since it was near our hotel and had vegetarian options. We were immediately shocked by how delicious the guacamole was and it’s the main reason why we come back here every year at least once or twice during our trip. The service is great, our server Jackie was super nice and accommodating. I always get the vegetarian burrito. Everything is delicious, flavorful, reasonably priced. If you enjoy this type of cuisine you need to dine here! You’ll never look at store bought guacamole or Chipotle the same ever again. We talk about this place constantly and look forward to the one time a year we get to eat here. Definitely recommend to all travelers.
