I went to Rays Vegan Soul for the first time earlier today and it exceeded my expectations! Really good service and a faithful representation of soul food; it was like my auntie’s cooking but vegan. I got the jerk mac, along with the vegan Turkey meatloaf and mash. Strong recommend, I can’t wait for the hours to expand more hopefully some time in the future.

My husband and I are at Rays recently for the first time. I wasn’t expecting it to be a pop up eatery because the pictures on the website looks like a restaurant. My husband liked the food. It could have been a little warmer in temperature considering they were just setting up. They set up a table with chairs to eat outside. They do accept CC. We had the meatloaf with mashed potatoes, greens, country fried chicken patty, banana pudding made with ginger snaps I think and pound cake.

Food was so good! Especially the Mac and cheese. So creamy and nooshy! Love it! Edited to add I have been here a few times now and have not had a bad meal yet. He is normally only open between 12 and 4pm on Sundays in front of the boxing club outside. Roll through!

The Sunday menu has the vegan country fried steak with mashed potatoes and collard greens and was very delicious and is all that comfort food should be. The banana pudding and pound cake had a good flavor and texture. The parking lot dining wasn’t what was expected however the staff was very kind and made it work.
