While the restaurant was very nice (what we seen of it). The service was not great. Came in at 8pm (Google said they closed at 10pm) was told to sit anywhere in bar area. Ordered drinks. Had to ask for dinner menu. And every drink refill. Food was excellent, but the server and bartender made us feel like we were an inconvenience. (Only 1 other table in the place) Another couple came in at 9pm and was told they were closed. I mentioned that website and Google says 10pm. Told them they should update their business hours. Server informed me that they were not IT. As manager stood looking at us. A 208.00 bill I left a 10.00 tip and a note explaining why I tipped the server that low amount. I probably will visit again because the food was excellent. However, I will not request the server.

The family and I spent a few days in Indio at a resort. We decided to try JEM since it was within a 15 drive from our location. The steakhouse was closed due to renovation but the buffet was available. The dinner price was $12.95. What the heck, lets try it. The food was pleasantly surprisingly good. Service was good. The servers never allowed our table to pile up with dishes and our drinks were never empty for any period of time. Some of the items I had were chicken mole’, beef stew, tacos, steak, build your own tacos, salad bar, and a few different choices of cakes, and pie. The choices were definitely smaller than many buffets but the taste and price were proportionate. The family left happy. Sorry Spotlight29 Casino, I did not give you any of my money other than the restaurant.

hot sauce papa burn
So this being said as a non biases opinion, the main entree (lemon caper chicken) was very exceptional. The only flaw was a over use of butter. The dish came out very hot, hot enough I had to eat other things just to let it cool a bit. The coconut shrimp is also a very good choice, the papaya salsa was very tasty. The rolls that came with the meal were soft and also had good flavor.

Ambiance, decor, atmosphere is so relaxing. Excellent for family, romantic intimate dinners, as well as, groups, & commemorative gatherings. Soothing cream colors add to the elegant setting. The menu is sufficient for the taste of all guests, the food is memorable. On special occasions, the menu is Prix Fixe. Wine list ranges from dinner wine glasses to fine wine bottles for the connoisseur. A winning choice to make an impression.
