This restaurant, as a local, is always at TOP of our list! It checks everything off! Service is always phenomenal as soon as we walk in the door. We are always greeted with a smile. Every waiter or waitress we’ve ever had is so attentive and friendly, but BEST OF ALL the FOOD IS SO GOOD! Always fresh, flavorful, and delicious!! Thank you Gruene Door for the consistent EXCELLENT food and service! I added a photo of MY favorite dish the chicken piccata no capers with flash fried spinach!! We don’t always indulge in desert, but did this time!

I’ve been to The Gruene Door many times. The last 2x I’ve had the pleasure of having Lauren as my server. Her attention to detail is amazing! We started with the Bruschetta, which will blow you away because they add goat cheese to it! I have always gotten the salmon with polenta and flash fried spinach. There’s just something so unique about it! We finished with the brownie topped with ice cream, and I was done. The portions are huge. None of us could finish our food. The atmosphere is always very nice and respectable. Ask for Lauren when you go or make a reservation. You will not be disappointed!

Consistently one of my favorite places. The special risotto of the day is a must for us. It is always yummy! The meatloaf is one of the best, if not the best, we’ve ever had, and all our guests would agree too! The service is great. We always bring our twin babies, currently 14 months old, and the staff is very accommodating. It’s nice to be able to make reservations online too. I highly recommend!! All our relatives want to go every time they visit.

Great restaurant w/ great food. My favorite meal is the Chicken Piccata w/ green beans. The 16 Oz Ribeye w/asparagus is also a favorite. Love their chocolate dessert w/ice cream. They definitely have the best green beans I have ever tasted. Love the location and overall ambiance. Staff is good and attentive. Reservations can be done online and worth doing. Plenty of parking w/local shopping.

The food was excellent. All 4 in our party enjoyed their entrees. The wine list is not extensive but found several bottles that worked. Service at the table and from the kitchen was “leisurely”, but this occurs more and more often I think as adequate staffing is an issue at most restaurants.
