I was told this was a great steakhouse, but I was in the mood for chicken fried steak. I will have to revisit for a better review.

Poor service during my last visit. I was never offered or asked if i wanted a drink when I sat down with my party and ordered. I was able to get a glass of water when food was served, but our waitress never returned to ask about refills for my table, and only returned when we had to chase her down so we could pay to leave. I enjoyed a juicy medium rare sirloin steak with pretty good fried mushrooms, a very fresh salad, and the sweet potato fries seemed pretty decent, but I don’t care much for them. Not sure if I’ll go back after sitting down with friends for a couple hundred dollar table, and not even being offered drinks or refills, that ruined our entire experience.

Big shout out to the gentleman who suggested I try this place! I was in Brackett for work but was in a hotel in Del Rio and decided to try Cripple Creek based on a recommendation by a local gentleman. Initially, I was a bit timid but quickly warmed up as the bartender and the gyrl next to me cracked my exterior! The steak…….the steak…..YES! YES! YES!

This was a quirky little place with art all over the place. Very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. We started with some poppers and they were good but not great. Wished they had been cooked longer. The star was the steak! Usually not a sirloin fan but this one was out of this world. Cooked to perfection (medium). The wood fire flavor and tenderness was spot on. I would recommend and will be returning for another steak!

Nice place to eat. Order appetizer (fried pickles), portions were small. Main course was good sizes and the onion rings were delicious great seasoning. Wait staff is great.

My husband and I went for the first time and our 1st impression was that it was ok. We both got the prime rib meal, mine with a backed potato and soup, his with a salad and fries. While everything was OK we will be going back a 2nd time to try something different and really decide of we like it or not.

A fine steak dinner in a charming rustic setting. It was Friday evening and this place was bustling! Yet the service we recieved was second to none. They were extremely attentive to our needs despite the busy activity in the place. The food was outstanding! I had the Cripple Creek Shrimp plate and it did not disappoint . The Ribeye Steak was also prepared to near perfection and was so savory and tender. The draft beer was cold and refreshing. It was a great place to unwind with friends after a long and tiring day of busy activity. Many thanks to the good folks at Cripple Creek Steak House for a really great experience.

Steaks were ok, I enjoyed the smokey flavor but other than that they were flavorless. Got seated right away but it took a while for them to get our order and then an hour to bring our food out, forgetting drink order as well. It was a busy Saturday night so not expecting the quickest service but an hour and a half was a bit much. The sides are a bit small too.

An amazing experience every visit. Most of the waiters are a blast to talk to and I can’t remember her name at the moment but she was a great person to joke with. I highly recommend the mozzarella sticks! They are always so crispy and cheesy and yet they’re never overly oily.
