As I travel, I never pictured Lincoln Nebraska would be a place that I would say; “I had the best barbecue I’ve ever tasted in my life” but i was wrong!

Always searching for good BBQ and found some excellent in Lincoln. We tried pulled pork, brisket, andouille sausage and chicken. Sides of bbq beans, Mac and cheese, cornbread stuffing and cheesy potatoes. Three where tied for the beat meat: brisket, pulled pork and andouille. The beans and cornbread stuffing were our faves. We will be back.

I ordered the burnt end dinner plate. It came with 2 sides of choice also a piece of garlic bread. The soda is extra. The burnt ends were fattier then i expected. The meat has good flavoring. You get appx 9 chunks of meat, and 2 sides as shown in the photo. With a soda my meal came to $19.

My father and I have been touring Lincoln trying nachos everywhere we go. Mulberry BBQ ranked well in our list despite the BBQ nachos being something new for my dad. Value was excellent, $10 nachos would easily feed 2 average people who weren’t starving to death. Keep in mind the context of the review is comparing it to some non-existent personal ideal. Any feedback that sounds negative is more in the way of “how it could be even better.”

“Other” = Lunch and Dinner, and my &20 to $30 total was for two meals.

Dry, dry, dry, dry..so dry ~ Most of the meat I tried tasted like it was from a pot roast rather than, BBQ. Which if I wanted meat from a pot roast, then I would have cooked that myself. Had no flavor if any. Dry…Their brisket was very dry. Sauce’s were terrible. One sauce tasted like it was just straight up molasses. Didn’t try the chicken, but I’m not wasting my money to go back and try that —

The sausage and baked potato was fine but the ribs were salty, wet slab style. They had no bark and were overcooked. They keep all their BBQ in humidity boxes which is strange. Maybe I just got some old food? That’s what it tasted like.

Food is just the best. Burnt ends perfect. Turkey sandwich is just the right amount. Half chicken is great. All sides are very tasty. Will return. Tip. Want burnt ends go early.

The food was incredible. I got the burnt ends sandwich with potato salad and it was sooooo good. Rita was so friendly I definitely recommend this spot for lunch if you’re in the mood for BBQ.

Everything was great! Had the ribs, pulled pork, BBQ beans and pasta salad. BBQ sauce was good both sweet and spicy. Can’t wait to go back!
