My family went to IHOP with some friends to have a nice breakfast. Our friend arrived at 10:30, but we were going to meet at 11. She arrived early to ask if we can have some tables pushed together because it was a group of ten but it wouldn’t be until 11. We all arrive at 11 or so and are in constant contact with the hostess every 10 minutes or so to see if we have any spaces. It was currently 11:30 am and have not been seated yet. I understood that a group of 10 was a big group so I didn’t mind the wait but we had come an hour before to ask for accommodations. My mom asked the hostess the wait time to be seated and she gave a rude and snarky comment about how they can’t rush people. What pushed us over the edge was we requested in the end to just have 2 separate tables so that we could have a better chance of being seated faster. A group of 7 arrived and waits about 5-10 mins and is seated before us. The two hostesses kept looking at us but would not acknowledge us. She would greet others and seat them while we waited. It was turning 12 and we decided to leave. The two hostesses watched us leave and kept staring as we walked out. Their manager kept walking past us while we were in the waiting area and did not acknowledge us. I could see the attitude change between the hostess when she spoke with us and the other parties. I understand they may have been busy but we waited close to 2 hours and they were seating parties close to our size quickly. The morning shift on Saturdays are rude and not kind.

Although there were a lot of parties waiting to be seated, I got my table at a reasonable time for a party of 4. The server was great and was very tentative. We ordered our food and we got food fast. The food was warm and was great. I had the huevos rancheros and they tasted good.

The waitress was good however it took a very long time to get our food because part of their kitchen was closed and only 3 cooks.

Service was a little slow due to COVID however the food and price were the same, delicious and fresh. A little upset they don’t have the option of syrups like they used to but hope they bring the syrups back after COVID. Will visit again later.

Late breakfast, I ordered a iced coffee with my meal, wife ordered a hot chocolate. Server came out with black coffee on ice and dairy creamers, hot chocolate tasted watery, server brought over another hot chocolate same result. Here’s the thing though, bill was $36.13 paid with a large bill. Change did not include the .87 what’s with that? Who decided not to send over the Change? No they did not round up. I don’t know is that something new that is being done now.

I ordered the turkey melt with bacon and was not disappointed. I even asked for the mayo and avocado to be on the side, because some restaurants slather on the mayo and lately, I prefer spreading the avocado on the outside of the bread. This wasn’t a problem, as my server was quite accommodating. The French fries were similar to Carl’s Jr fries, that is, with the skin left on. I highly recommend them, as they were crisp and firm, not limp like some places. Overall, the sandwich was very good if you like turkey, bacon, cherry tomatoes and cheese on toasted wheat. The bread was a tiny bit greasy, but not so much as to ruin the sandwich. I also ordered a side of onion rings and they were excellent; very crunchy from what I figured was a panko breadcrumb coating. Depending on your budget, the sandwich, fries, onion rings and Arnold Palmer’s price at $25 was a bit pricey, but the food and service were well worth it.
