Wow! Shame on you!! I just paid almost $15 for this!! That’s a disgrace I’m speechless, if you’re giving such minuscule portions then adjust the cost accordingly. If you have inexperienced cooks then supervise them! Don’t trust your orders.. be sure to look closely and ask questions.

On an island where price gouging and mediocre food is common Pink’s is a welcome change. The seafood is excellent. Best fried flounder I’ve had and the coleslaw is homemade simple and really goes well with the fried seafood. Broiled scallops yesterday were cooked perfectly and very good although I can do without the paprika. The business is very well run ordering ahead is the key! Highly recommended.

So let’s start with the food was excellent. It was hot, flavorful and the seafood was fresh. The staff was friendly and attentive and we overall enjoyed the experience. Seating is a problem with just a few outside picnic benches available. In the evening (when everyone goes) there is no protection from the sun. No umbrellas or atificial shade of any kind. It was brutal and really took something from the experience. It is also expensive and that is saying something for Long Beach Isalnd. Even the kids meals were overpriced. My recommendation is to try it and focus on the seafood but expect to pay $30 a person – even kids.

Only the tourists rate this above 3 stars! Every year or 2 we decide to try pinkys again and this was probably the worst yet. We placed an order for a cod sandwich, a crab cake sandwich and 12 fried shrimp (their “specialty”). Upon ordering one person said 35 minutes while the one next to her said an hour. We were assured we would recieve notification via our cell when the order was ready. We decided to run to the store for stuff for the house. About an hour later i went back and asked what the order status was. Apparently they forgot to notify us. I took my semi warm food and left. I wish that was the bad part. The cod was a decent size but extremely bland and the overly salted tarter sauce didn’t help. As for the shrimp, they were also very bland, on the small side and worse, extremely overcooked. The crab cake was decent and the fries were the shining star.

Sad to hear that this place is for sale. Best casual seafood on the island. We always bring friends here over the more well know places on the island. Hope whoever buys it continues with the business and doesn’t knock it down to build a house.

We visit LBI every July and lunch at Pinky’s is one of the things I look forward to. Fried clams, slaw and fries were delicious, as usual:) For years we used to go to BHF but their prices (and attitude) got out of hand. Thank you for being a part of our great week, see you next year!
