Clean, very nice staff, great service, relaxing atmosphere. Food was delicious. We tried the combo platter so that we could try a little of everything. Samosa was delicious! We got the medium and hope to try the hot heat level next time. Very impressed!

Some of the best places to eat have more of a cafeteria vibe… but it’s the authentic food and service that i love here!

Had to stop by because Ethiopian food is much more healthy then the other usually stuff. Abyssinia nailed it pretty much. Not to pricey but definitely worth every cent.

This is one of the best experiences I have had in a long time.. this is a restaurant you have to go to .. I mean you have to its not as expensive as you would think to experience a true Ethiopian lunch or dinner all the food is spice full and bold and I love all the vegan options they had .. the service was tip top she was so nice and answered all the questions we had to ask the best she could. We smashed the plate they brought out even my 7 year old son even loved it so it’s a must..the restaurant is small but clean and the coffee ceremony is amazing and so strong the bold flavor was sooo good and I was not ready for how wonderful I would love this.. this is a must and the price is so worth it I mean to experience this please go.

Super awesome local business from Ethiopia that I cannot give enough appreciation for bringing their incredible to us so well. Everything was cheap and authentic, they treated us very well and the environment was pleasant, and the food was even better than I expected. My only tiny complaint would be that the service was a bit slow, but that was because they truly an unusually large crowd when we came, however they still served us at a good pace (it really wasn’t that slow). I wish I could’ve gotten everything, but I got the spicy lamb tips with split peas and red lentils – can’t think of any criticism, it was all so much better than I imagined. Love this place and I’m not from Louisville, but I sincerely hope I can come back some day.
