When I walked in I was a little shocked that it was not overflowing with people on a Sunday. That should’ve been the first indication that something was off. From the kitchen emerged the sweetest lady. She was Beyond friendly and very welcoming. We ordered neckbones, turnip greens, yams, and mac & cheese as well as baked chicken and turnip greens. The greens were good. The only corn muffin was good. The neckbones OK were dry as if they had been reheated in boiling water. Mac and cheese was watery and baked chicken was dry as if it had been reheated with cream of chicken soup poured on top of it. Yams were from the can. I was really disappointed and shocked because she has so many great reviews? It’s puzzling. Not sure what happened but today, was not a good day.

A friend is a master at finding out of the way, hidden spots no one would ever see and I called for a Chattanooga recommendation and he said “Lois’ Restaurant “it doesn’t look like much but the food is great” and he was right! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone excellent as were the greens and everything. Trust the reviews and go see Ms. Lois. She’s the REAL THING!

Stopped here on the way back home to Atlanta this place felt like home. Ms. Lois was very nice & sweet. The food was excellent & seasoned to perfection. I stopped for chittlins & I got jus that. Those were the best chittlins I’ve ever had. Once I left she gave me a God felt talk. It really felt like home. I’ll definitely be visiting again. ❤
