Came here for lunch on Sunday and boy is this spot popular! Thankfully the wait wasn’t that long, and they seated us in a nice booth (always useful with young children). There’s a good amount of seating inside as well as some outside (though it rained the day we came, so no one was outside). They have large booths (could fit 4 comfortably, up to 6) as well as smaller, 2-person booths, and tables.

We are so happy that Caleb’s survived Covid. This is a great local restaurant. Clean, comfortable, with great food and service. Our server was Tina, and she took great care of us. We made special requests, and she made sure we got what we requested. We’ll be back, that’s for sure!

Food was good for the price. Anything southern was a flop… Breakfast quesadilla was good and very filling with large portions. Crab Benedict flavorful and cooked well. Biscuits and gravy/cheesy grits were something I’d never suggest to anyone. Would eat there again but careful not to order any southern traditional breakfast items as it seems they can’t hit the mark.

I’ve been going to Caleb’s for a while and they are normally good. I also always get my order to go and this morning my order was horrible. Heres the hash browns they were burnt. I couldn’t eat them and I was only given 2 strips of bacon.

The food is good the price and service are very good. They are kid friendly and gave my son a coloring page with a couple of crayons. It gets very busy at breakfast time on the weekends, so I would recommend coming early to beat the rush

They bring you your check when they bring the food, which is nice, but also makes it where the server doesn’t feel they need to come back and check on you. My table was out of hot sauce (bottle was empty) and I set it at the edge of the table by the aisle hoping the server would notice. Not only did she not notice, but she didn’t come back around until I was almost done with my meal. She walked by, never slowing, not looking, and said, “Everything OK?” She just kept moving, and I didn’t have a chance to say a word. And they expect 18% or more in tip…. nah. Not with that service.

Chill atmosphere. Food was WAY better than I expected, great portions. Most kid’s food is terrible but our daughters’ burgers were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Prices were great. Our server was so kind. Overall a perfect experience.

Just wanted to make sure that South Kansas City knew about this quaint little neighborhood spot. Super attentive owner operators, and all of the staff I have run into while there are smiling and happy to help no matter where they may be stationed. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast, and it was crazy good. I’m pretty sure one of the owners came by my table to check on my “dining experience”. She was making sure everything was to my liking. I’ll be back more often now that I have discovered this gem in the rough during all the Red Bridge Road construction. These folks are kind and make some Delicious breakfast! Locally owned and admired. Thanks for the good grub! Kindly, cjb
