Telly’s felt like home cooked food. And it was. Even the green beans were from scratch not warmed from frozen. The pot roast was delicious. Just like my mom’s. Portions were fine. Service was great. They even made our dog feel welcome on the back patio. Music was just the right kind of rock n roll, not too loud and with lyrics you could sing to. It brought back memories and made for an enjoyable evening sitting out after dinner with our beers. Great neighborhood bar!!!

I would say they deserve 0 stars but I’m okay with them getting 1 because the cosmo was strong but when I say the food is just nasty! I came for a salad but decided to get wings and the spinach dip but I didn’t even want to order my salad because of how horrible the appetizers were. All of it was just nasty. First of all why does this establishment even have what I like to call “cheap coney wing dings”. They are overly battered (see photo) weren’t tossed at all (sauce dripped on top), fake meat and just plain wrong and don’t belong in a restaurant!! Then how do you mess up spinach dip? I told the waitress I was simply ready for the bill, she asked if I wanted a box for the uneaten food and I told her “no”. When I was a waitress and I told my manager a customer was unhappy they would come speak to you and assess the situation and that never happened and then didn’t offer to adjust the bill either. I am disappointed in the waitress and management for dropping the ball and making me a happier customer. Won’t be going back.

This is a great neighborhood bar. The salad was good, but the protein portion is definitely lacking. I love their happy hour and the drink selection. Every server that I’ve had at Telly’s has been wonderful. I love coming here to catch up with friends.

Nice little place. Nothing special popped out at me while we were here though. Food was decent, but again, nothing spectacular. Except maybe the seasoned fries, those were super delicious. Living on the other side of metro Detroit I don’t know if I’d come out of my way again but it was a nice stop.

The best burger in the area, period. I’m sure other things are good too, but since the first time I ordered the burger I got so hooked on it that haven’t really bothered trying something else. Service staff is very cool and attentive. Give it a shot if you’re in the area. If you’re a local and haven’t tried it, you’re missing out!
