Load squeaking coolers made it hard to enjoy. No atmosphere but the waitress/hostess was nice, attentive and knowledgeable. Mutton was like shoe leather. Over cooked to death and very tough. Very disappointing, especially for the price.

This place just opened up last week in what used to be a Mexican restaurant. Their startup menu is interesting, with a mix of beef steaks and mutton dishes.. We tried the Navajo taco; the steamed corn mutton stew; and the dumpling buttons do. All three were good. I think between the two stews my favorite was the steamed corn mostly because the mutton in it was more of the lean meat. The Navajo taco was well done and typical of what you find in quality Navajo tacos around the area. One interesting thing to try is the iced Navajo tea or something they call Sun devil tea! The staff were friendly and answered questions about the menu. I believe they are available for dine in and carry out.

The food was decent. The waitress was friendly. When we were paying for our food we got charged for our waters. We had no fountain drinks or coffee but were charged 8 dollars for two waters. We asked about the charge and the person checking us out said they had no button on their system for water. We left unhappy and the experience made us not want to come back.

When we got there we waited like 5 minutes to be seated. We waited about 15 mins for a guy to take our order. My son asked for a coke and the waiter said “Sorry we ran out of soda, we only have Tea and water”. So no sodas there, we all ordered iced tea. Then I ordered roast mutton sandwich. Then the waiter said “Sorry we all out of mutton.” Like FR!! So I ordered a buffalo burger with fry bread. Our wait for our food was 30 mins, which wasn’t so bad. My burger meat was so small and the fry bread was big (shown in pic). Maybe because it was ground buffalo meat. My mom had elk burger and same thing small meat. My daughter had Navajo burger and it was slightly bigger meat. My son loved his Navajo taco. The food was greasy… like clog your artery type. We also had to fight the flies to keep them away. My grandma ordered spam and tortilla and it was a thin slice of spam and tortilla, lol. Her tortilla was tough she was having trouble chewing it. Our waiter never came over to check on us. Just gave us our food and ran off. Restroom too was clogged and gross. Really disappointed in my experience but food was good and fries delicious.

All the reviews are correct about this place. Ordered our drinks of which was forgotten about until our salads where brought out. Asked questions about items on menu and it was like a deer in the headlights….didn’t know what we where asking. Steaks came out medium well when we asked for medium rare. When brought to the attention all we got was an I am sorry, I told the cook how you wanted them done. No offer to recook or discount our meal.
