Great food. Just need to improve on amount of chicken. Sometimes when I order a large box of chicken gizzards they’ll give me a decent amount, most other times it will just be a layer… Something they should definitely work on. Easiest way??? Go by weight.

The food is good. The place is pretty cozy and welcoming. I usually get 2 pieces of chicken and a side of mixed livers and gizzards, which all tastes great. The staff is usually pretty friendly too. Overall, I love coming here and would go out of my way to eat here.

Ordered from DoorDash. Wasn’t really expecting much, but was blown away on the quality and how fresh everything was. Hands down one of the best fried chicken in the area! Price is very reasonable too. I loved the seasoning and the crunchy batter they use for the chicken. Was not dry or greasy just cooked perfectly. Mac and cheese and mash potatoes were great too! Our company ordered Pollards’ boxed lunches for our employees and we were extremely impressed with our entire experience. It was very simple to order online, with several options to choose from (we narrowed it down to three). Once we ordered, we were sent a confirmation email and itemized list of everything we selected. The driver arrived to our building early and the delivery process was flawless. The individual boxes were labeled, which made it super easy for employees to identify their meal. The boxes even had a tamper evident seal on them. Not to mention the actual food was awesome too! From portion size to quality to price, everything was perfect. We have some very satisfied (and well fed) employees. I highly recommend their catering and will be ordering from them again.

Their food is not as good as it use to be. I use to go here frequently but now the chicken tastes greasy and undercooked. In the past, when you ordered wings they would give you an extra chicken wing because it wasn’t a lot of food. But now it costs over $15 for 3 wings. Not worth the money and they definitely don’t give you anything for free.

This Pollard’s Chicken is located at the corner of Great Neck Rd. and Virginia Beach Blvd. It is easiest to get to it from heading west on Virginia Beach Blvd. or south on Great Neck Rd. I have passed this place several times over the years but had never made it in here until then. My first visit here was around midday on December 31, 2021.
