It’s a bit pricey but what a great place to be. Staffs are so friendly and extra nice, more like a friendly neighbor. Food was so delicious! Everything that we ordered were so tasty and delicious. Crab dip was so scrumptious, boiled Seafood Plater was so juicy and tasteful, seafood nacho was so full of seafood, crab cake was one of the best that I’ve had… Kids had so much fun playing games and we all enjoyed the scenery. What a beautiful place!

Great atmosphere, great food. Everything is fresh and they have a great drink menu too. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, Did I mention they have a Tiki bar outside? Summer Saturdays also have live music in the evening. Super friendly staff.

After reading reviews we decided to try this spot. Waited 50 minutes for the food. The place was not busy, only one other table was seated..We ordered mozzarella sticks and they were under cooked, two of them were still cold in the middle.

We were stranded and the owner of this place picked us up, served us food and drink after hours and were nothing less than hospitable. 100/10 recommend. We will be back & will likely make it our wedding venue

We were traveling through the area and a local recommended we see the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and stop by Old Salty’s. What a great recommendation. We pulled into the parking lot where a wedding was obviously about to begin (great venue!) and bypassed the outside tiki bar for the interior bar hoping to catch some NCAA football. The staff was very busy with the wedding and catering but took immediate care of us. We ended up staying over 6 hours watching football, drinking beer and eating some amazing food (must try the baked pineapple!!). The bartender/manager Jeff was a hoot and although he was slammed, took the best care of us. All of the staff was great and you can tell they enjoy working for such a great place. The owners – Matt and Melissa- AMAZING! They both took time to come chat with us and share their stories. The food was great too! We shared the crab cake covered with imperial sauce, grilled with mozzarella sauce and made with love. If you’ve read this far of this review – let me just mention the sunset . Beautiful and absolutely picture perfect. Great people, great staff (keep an eye on Mary!) and great location!

All I can say is bring your appetite! The seafood is delicious and the portions are huge! This restaurant is what the Maryland shore is about. Good food and great people!

As someone who loves to support local business, I was excited to try Old Salty’s. We’ve heard about it since we moved here in 2020. We had family visiting from out of town and decided it was a good time to give it a try. What a disappointing experience. The five of us got the brisket nachos and jerk chicken skewers for an appetizer (both featured specials).Nachos were good.. The chicken was over cooked and dry and very salty- impossible to even slide off the skewer. But we kept optimistic and didn’t complain. Three of us ordered the salmon (two blackened and one broiled) dinner. It was terrible. The blackened seasoning was heaped on and so salty we had to send it back. The broiled was dry and overcooked but our sister tried to make the best of it. We requested broiled instead for the replacement salmon. When it arrived it was undercooked and the quality of all the salmon was very bad. Very thin and very fishy – all inedible. The cream of crab soup was also bad. When the check arrived, they had not removed our entrees that we didn’t eat. I had to request them to be removed and it was embarrassing. There was no sincere apology, the manager never came to speak to us, nothing. We all left hungry. I don’t understand how this place has 4.5 stars. Won’t be back and it’s a real shame. Maybe they had a bad day but the way they handled it was disappointing.

Fantastic seafood and family restaurant on Hooper’s Island MD. Cream of crab soup was outstanding. The best crab cake I have ever had. All crab, no filler at all. Great desserts as well. A bit of a drive, but worth it. Great place to go after time spent at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. Great staff. Plenty of parking. You need to go. Highly recommended.

We visited this restaurant today and were blown away by how great the food was! It was worth the 75 minute drive from VA! We had the crab dip and brisket nachos for appetizers and the Delmonico steaks for our entrees. It all tasted amazing, the portions were generous and the staff was wonderful. We will definitely be back often ❤

Best part—snakehead fish bites and friendly staff and open past five (and seven) as most places in the area close early. Went twice. First time, had the no filler crab cakes with Mac n cheese and fries. No filler is right, as the crab cakes were literally chunks of crab. The crab was fresh, little taste of sweet, aka recently caught, and well cooked. Man n cheese was creamy and basic. Fries could’ve used a little longer. Second time we had steamed shrimp, cream of crab, and snakehead fish bites. Cream of crab was good. I’d preferred some more old bay in it. Steam shrimp didn’t come with onions, maybe that’s a Baltimore thing. All and all—nothing too fancy and good. Oh, the sunset out back is gorgeous.
