Out the top 5 five best taco spots in the SFV area. The best handmade Tortillas are served here! There’s something to the masa (dough) that makes the Tortillas light and soft. Choices of meat are Asada,Cabeza,Buche,Carnitas,Chorizo and Even Chicharrón. Cold drinks vary from canned to glass bottles, salsas are flavorful and tacos are served with pieces of cucumber, lemon and radish.

The tacos are sooo good. Just watch out for creepy homeless people begging for food . They can be a little aggressive. Overall though the cashier and cooks are very polite. -Sauces are good too !

When my husband and I just got married, Don Cuco’s is where we go to on those times we didn’t feel like cooking dinner, nor dining in at a fancy restaurant. I didn’t like it at first because it was always busy there. Long queues and difficult parking, which meant we had to walk a little because we parked too far. And it is a food truck! My idea of food truck is unhealthy yet expensive food like those you see on festivals. Yet this one is only a dollar a taco! There were moments I resented going there, but because it’s one of my husband’s favorites, I learned to go with the flow. Now that we have two children, I get surprised that both of them get thrilled buying tacos from a huge, red eye-catching food truck. And when we are in the car, they couldn’t wait until we get home before they indulge in the variety of meat and fillings they ordered. The aroma of meat and vegetables, plus the spices are simply irresistible. Home is only about a couple of minutes away, but I have no choice but let them start eating in the car even if that means I had to clean up the mess afterwards. Take home food is always best when you eat together with your family. I have admit, I’m the one who’s cravings is most satisfied when we have Don Cuco’s to-go, because I get to eat at least 4 different tacos with as much onions and cilantros and guacamole and beets and cucumber and salsa and jalapeño…as I want!
